The straighteners, like nearly all others, have a temperature control. The control on this model is a digital one, allowing you to select the exact temperature you want. On previous ... ...to go for 200 on this and it seems a good temperature when straightening hair straight after washing. When straightening hair just to touch it up I use a lower temperature between 140 and 170.
I noticed that some people have complained about changing the temperature when using the straighteners, I haven't had this problem and find that the control buttons are quite sturdy and so don't change just by catching them.

i have the same one and bought it after i used my friends! it does exactly what it says!!! the best temperature i used upto was 200 because i have quite thin hair. this Straightner is also called s9901 and you can get it for sooo cheap from the internet on amazon or the John Lewis website.
if you have thick wavy hair - i guarantee you that your hair WILL be straight and in just one stroke. for thin or limp hair its best not to use a temperature over 200 because that can ruin the hair so its best to get this straightner as it has variable temperature control which use can use from 140 to 230 (230 is the highest you can get)

Bought some of these before christmas, they're really good from dry but don't seem to dry hair very quickly so find it easier to dry my hair first them straighten afterwards. Easy to understand digital read out, and a good length cable that makes it easy more
