Having had two pairs of the same (quite expensive) hair straighteners die on me withing 3 months, I needed some new ones, fast and cheaply! I didn't want to pay loads of money, yet having quite thick hair I wanted to ensure that they would actually straighten my hair.

The straighteners claim to make your hair "straight in a stroke". When I bought these I was quite sceptical as previous expensive straighteners I had required each section of hair to have quite a number of strokes. On the first use of these straighteners it took a while to straighten my hair as I was getting used to them, different shape/weight etc to the old ones. However I have found that the claim "straight in a stroke" is pretty accurate.
The straighteners make straightening your hair a quite and easy process.
The straighteners have a temperature range between 140C and 230C, the plates are ceramic diamond with teflon coating. The product comes with a handy travel pouch which also doubles up as a heat map, some sectioning clips and a brush.
A great set of straighteners for those on a low budget - I know people who have ghd's and comment how straight me hair is!!

Quick review of Remington Straight in a Stroke 230 Straighteners
i have the same one and bought it after i used my friends! it does exactly what it says!!! the best temperature i used upto was 200 because i have quite thin hair. this Straightner is also called s9901 and you can get it for sooo cheap from the internet on amazon or the John Lewis website.
if you have thick wavy hair - i guarantee you that your hair WILL be straight and in just one stroke. for thin or limp hair its best not to use a temperature over 200 because that can ruin the hair so its best to get this straightner as it has variable temperature control which use can use from 140 to 230 (230 is the highest you can get) ...
