My boyfirend bought me the wet to straight straighteners for my birthday and i have to say that at first i was very sceptical that you could put extremely hot straighteners onto wet hair with no protective products whatsoever.
The idea is actually quite simple. the plates use heat to seal moisture into your hair as they dry it and you end up with shiny silky hair and i have to say that for 90% of the time this is the case for me.
The controls are simple, there is an on/off switch and a heat / hair thickness dial. the only issue i have with this dial is that is it not very easy to see being black on black. you then separate your hair into sections and go, making sure to keep the holes in the staighteners facing outwards as these are the vents for the steam.. its as simple as that! you can also use them on dry hair with products as usual if you wish so they are pretty versatile in that way.
I have found that if the weather conditions are right, ie not too windy or damp the straightening effects are good for a couple of days which is great for going away or just not being at home for one night.
the only thing i would say to watch out for (and this is something that i am not mindful enough of) is the dampness of your hair when you straighten it. too wet and it will take forever, not wet enough and you may end up dry and flyaway at the ends. This is just me going off and making sandwiches and other such motherly things in the morning and leaving it too long. If you follow the instructions then you will most probably be fine.
Don't be dissapointed if you do not get perfect results first time with these, as with everything in life it takes practice and will feel weird if you are used to using fry strraighteners only.

I've always envied people with super straight hair as mine was always fuzzy/slightly wavy and I've got the sort of hair that just won't style very well as it always reverts back to its natural messy state except now with the help of my new straightners! I was fortunate enough to find these wonderful straightners on Amazon for only £50 compared to the usual £70-80 that every one else is charging. I bought these last week so I can use them all over ... ...straightners are very simple to use; simply plug them in, adjust the heat setting to the required level, and apply to towel dried hair. Even a simple person like me can get them working so everyone one else will have no problems! Just be careful where you put your fingers, as the steam holes get very hot and obviously let the steam out, because I nearly burnt my finger. Don't worry about the hissing noise its just the water evaporating off damp hair ...

...long period of use. The Remington wet2straight don’t damage your hair at all. That’s why they are so kind to your hair. There is a sizzling sound when straightening your hair, but this isn’t anything to worry about as that is what it does. It sizzles to tell you its working. When I first used my wet2straights I thought it was frying my hair (as I normally don’t read instructions!), which my fiancé found quite funny as he knew what the sound was for ... ...on wet hair hence the name, but straightening dry hair works the same. They do recommend though to towel dry you hair first, as dripping wet hair near electrical appliances is dangerous (but that is just common sense!)
Also, as these are basically steaming your hair (through being wet) they have vent holes on one side for the steam to come out of. It is advised to face the vents away from the face as the steam gets very hot.

Wellll I bought these straightners last year with my christmas money and there were definetly worth the money!. They make my hair perfectly straight and silky, just the way i like it ,with mininum effort!
My hair is neither straight or curly, it is sort of inbetween. I normally just wear it slightly wavy and messy but I started to become bored with this style and wondered how I could get it straight and silky. I decided to try ... ...not having to blow dry my hair before straightening it. When i first tryed them out on hair i couldnt believe the effect it had, it was like i had gone to the hairdressers and had it blow dryed straight except it was even better and so shiny!!. The only problem that i have with them is that sometimes if i use them on my hair and it is very wet, hot water drips out and can burn my skin so i now have to wait about 30 mins after washing my hair to use ...

As I am quite lazy about drying my hair before straightening, I thought that this would be the ideal product for me. I have very thick curly hair (think Orphan Annie), and previously was using a Kodo ceramic straightener. I had read reviews by people with a similar hairtype, so decided to give these a go.
I was quite excited when these arrived, but sadly, was disappointed with the results.
Firstly, the amount of steam given off my hair whilst using ... ...given myself an efficient facial at the same time!). My hair also sizzled dramatically, and I couldn't help but wonder how good for my hair this was. When I eventually got to the 'dry' stage, I was still nowhere near the sleek look I was going for. It was more 'stood in a wind tunnel after getting drenched'. Apart from the excess frizz, I seem to have gained a lot of volume. I think it took longer than using the seperate dryer / straightener method ...

Advantages: Simple & easy, Quickly heats up, good usage & portable, also good for just straightening. Disadvantages: Price, Noise & steam that emits whilst straightning.
I purchased these a few years ago, priced then at £79.99, a resonable price. The temperature setting is clear and easy to use(dial). When usuing these first it was quite frightened as I began drying and straightning my hair at the same time, as steam was ejecting from the top of the straightners and I was hearing a sizzling noise. After research, I discoverd that it was completely normal and that is part of the drying process. I still have and will ... ...anyway since purchase and I wash my hair daily. I also use heat protection spray.
There are a few pros and cons that I have to mention. Pros: Thay are simple & easy to use.
Quick to heat up.
Varying temperatures can be choosen
Just look and feel like any normal pair of straightners
Good usuage
Cons: It could be cheaper
It takes about 30 mins to dry long hair The noise and steam is worrying, as you may wonder how much this is damaging your ...

As a Bzz Agent I was invited to test these straightners at a reduced price. I'm so glad I did. I feel they are very easy to use, slim and slightly curved, making it good to hold. I got them to save me time. I can straighten from towel dried hair, instead of blow drying then straightening, it takes about 10 mins. They has a blue LED light for wet & a green light for dry. It is easy to change between settings and to adjust the temperature. In my opinion it heats up very quickly, in only 15 seconds. It does hiss and there's some steam when used on wet hair, which is normal. They have a fabric pouch which I think is handy for storage. My hair is quite thick so I can't get it poker straight, but it looks loads better than not straightened & stays styled all day with no frizz. ...

I brought this wet2 dry remington s 8001 hair straightner one year ago , from comet.for £65.
It is grey in colour, it has 8 holes on the top . it has silver metalic plates. It has 2X protection . Its made in CHINA. It comes with a styleish case. and some hair clips.
When I first brought this hair straigtener , I thought it wont last long , beause of my perivious experiance with other brand hair straigteners.
But REMINGTON proved me wrong , its being a year and its still in the same condition as I brought it ,I also use it nearly every day.
