Hippobags other side!

Advantages: none, did find same service for less though!
Disadvantages: too expensive, dont pick up!

I used a Hippo Bag about two month ago, the bag was removed by a third party as it was not collected for so long!, i called them up, stating it needed to go, but in the end i had to look about for someone else to do it! Every cloud has a silver lining as they say!, When it was removed, the waste carrier stated he collects bags in this area all the time, for barneybags i think he said. I bought one of these from Pompey Hardware in Fawcett Rd, on Monday ...
...along the way for businesses. This is just my impartial view, as i am sure hippobags have many happy and regular customers, its just that i am not one of them!. I would recommend looking into barneybags, even if a hippo user, compare the service/price and make your own judgements. ...

The Careful Movers - said with a sense of sarcasm

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Insurance has been a nightmare to claim against

Significant problems claiming against the insurance - we have had a number of items broken or go missing, it has so far taken us 2 months to get precisely nowhere. They promise to look into things and get back to us, then silence. By the time we have chased - getting almost daily, we will probably have spent more in time, effort and phone bills than we are actually claiming, but now it's the principal. ...back office staff won't take the insurance claims seriously when things go wrong. If I were more cynical, I would doubt whether the insuance scheme was actually any more than a means of boosting profits and not actually providing any cover (but I'm not - so I don't) ...

Be extremely cautious

Advantages: None really
Disadvantages: you need to be cautious at every step or will get looted

The move coordinator was extremely cheeky. She coerced me into sending a acceptance (by email), whilst a) a move date was not confirmed, b) i had not completed the payment (therefore did not yet takeup the cancellation waiver). But when i dropped the deal, she treatened me to pay the cancellation fees of 50% of the full charges. How can i pay cancellation charges on a deal that is not done. How can accepting a price mean i am into the deal. Well, ...

Removal Group - Be Afraid, Be VERY Afraid -

Disadvantages: Underhand, and misleading.

No door-to-door estimates

Advantages: Came earlier than expected
Disadvantages: No door-to-door estimate. Really bad at estimates. Keep trying to charge more money.
