My experience of owning and driving the Renault Clio Dynamique
Advantages: Automatic wipers and lights. Low running costs. Disadvantages: Honestly can't think of any
...the proud owner of a Renault Clio 1.2 Dynamique for just over seven years now. I usualy change my cars by at least their fourth year, but with the Clio I have been reluctant to give it up. I still love the shape, style and look of the car. I have added extras to the car. Like front lower spoiler and side skirts and upgraded the wheels. Its metalic black with a kind of gold fleck through the paint work which really works well together. I still get ... ...running costs are minimal aswell. On average Iam getting around 42mpg to 45mpg. That is also driving around town and on the motorway. The interior is also still right up to date. Sports seats with driver height adjust, and split head rests that can also be adjusted to come closer into back of your neck and head area. Rear head rests also as standard. Iam also very impressed with the "as standard" electrical features. Automatic window wipers. So if ...

clio dci 80 expression 5 door metallic black
Advantages: good power nice drive and all round decent motor Disadvantages: no alloy wheels
i bought a clio 1.5 dci 80 expression 5 door, i must say what a little car this is the engine the looks and the power it has for such a small engine is really good. i bought one with 40k on the clock with fsh and it runs like a dream no problems in the cold ever, it handles extremely well. i must say the rear seating room is not enough but it has a big boot so it kinda makes up for it. it has 60k on the clock now and still feels tight and firm every ... ...i changed the stereo to a jvc head unit put some seat covers on the interior and looks the business now. was worth the money i spent only 5k for the car, but do need to be looked after as its a diesel, the turbo sounnds quiet good also with a whistle and a slight tttssss off the wastegate. all round good motor worth the money much recommended if your after a small pokey hatchback ...

Sporty, Fun with a whole lot of Va Va Voom!!
Advantages: good drive, loads of features, good space for a small car Disadvantages: not a lot, see review..
...but they do come with renault alloys) pretty good factory speakers as standard, its a pretty good deal!
The boot space is ridiculously big for a small car and can fit a lot of stuff in. With the seats down, I got a mountain bike in and the boot closed (just!).
The cockpit is very light and the drivers position is perfect with a wide view through the windscreen.
Bad points...
the car has had a few problems which after a load of work has finally ... ...I took it to a Renault specialist who said it was probably the fuel sensor in the engine (it was also over fueling) he changed it at a cost of £160 and the problem has gone away and the fuel economy has doubled!
I am just about to have it serviced for the 2nd time since buying it and it also needs a rear coil spring changing which is apparently quite common.
There is a rattle in the cockpit but I know where it is and its just a piece of plastic ...

Renault Laguna a great family estate.
Advantages: A geat family car for those who dont want a people carrier Disadvantages: Car key is a card pricy to replace
I brought a Renault Laguna 1.9TD Sport Tourer In April of this year. I paid £2300 for an 03reg. You get a high quality car for a relativly small amount of money. The Sport Tourer comes with part leather interior, three 3 point seatbelts which is a must for anybody with children, a cd player, air con, Abs, 6 speed gears, heated front and rear windscreens and lots more. I have three young children and didn't want to purchase a people carrier instead ... ...extremely pleased with my purchase. It has a fantastically large boot which fits my double buggy in with ease and still has enough room for shopping. As far as safety ratings go this is by far one of the best it has several airbags and you are able to turn the passenger airbag off at a switch if you need to place a rear facing child seat in the front. On the bad side it comes with key cards which break easily if mishandled and can be quite pricy to ...

Megane 1.5dci Dynamique (80)
Advantages: Economy, reliability, comfort Disadvantages: small boot
I've owned a 1.5DCI Dynamique from new (2004) and have covered 63,000 miles. Had a couple of minor things fixed under warranty, door handle paint and steering column knock(?), despite not buying the car from a Main Dealer they honoured warranty repairs. Cheap Road Tax, Car Insurance, comfortable, lots of toys and economical. The only unusual fault was an intermittent STOP / OIL indication, which lasted a day or two - suspected wet electrics when ... ...time I was a bit unnerved by the complexity of the electronic systems, 7 units talking hooked up to diagnostics, but it settled down. That was 6,000 miles ago though. Interestingly the stalling of the rear wash wipe (common) is a s/w fault, in my case I didn't bother mentioning this until the STOP light problem, but it could have beenfixed under warranty otherwise - though new hardware (ECU) is required for my 2004 car - don't know what else this ...
