Renault Clio, good value car with street cred(a girly girls view)

Advantages: Ample room in boot, easy to park, lots of style for your money in my opinion
Disadvantages: Not so quick off the mark at traffic lights.

I got my used Renault Clio 1.2 a year ago and i am still in love with it. I believe that it is a car that I can be proud of as it is a good bit bigger that other cars in its price range. The boot size is one of the best that I have seen on a car of its size. I always have my boot full of random bits and pieces (clothes, coats and shoes) and still I can do all of my weekly shopping and fit all of it in easily. There is also plenty of room in the back ...
...in the front also. There is also quite a bit of storage space with a decent sized glove box and drinks spaces in the back, and deep pockets on each side. Driving wise, I find it easy to handle, the only annoyance being that it does take its time picking up speed and starting off at traffic lights and up hills especially if there are passengers in the back. I quite often have the foot fully down on the accelerator waiting for the car to pick up speed. ...

My experience of owning and driving the Renault Clio Dynamique

Advantages: Automatic wipers and lights. Low running costs.
Disadvantages: Honestly can't think of any

...the proud owner of a Renault Clio 1.2 Dynamique for just over seven years now. I usualy change my cars by at least their fourth year, but with the Clio I have been reluctant to give it up. I still love the shape, style and look of the car. I have added extras to the car. Like front lower spoiler and side skirts and upgraded the wheels. Its metalic black with a kind of gold fleck through the paint work which really works well together. I still get ...
...running costs are minimal aswell. On average Iam getting around 42mpg to 45mpg. That is also driving around town and on the motorway. The interior is also still right up to date. Sports seats with driver height adjust, and split head rests that can also be adjusted to come closer into back of your neck and head area. Rear head rests also as standard. Iam also very impressed with the "as standard" electrical features. Automatic window wipers. So if ...

clio dci 80 expression 5 door metallic black

Advantages: good power nice drive and all round decent motor
Disadvantages: no alloy wheels

i bought a clio 1.5 dci 80 expression 5 door, i must say what a little car this is the engine the looks and the power it has for such a small engine is really good. i bought one with 40k on the clock with fsh and it runs like a dream no problems in the cold ever, it handles extremely well. i must say the rear seating room is not enough but it has a big boot so it kinda makes up for it. it has 60k on the clock now and still feels tight and firm every ...
...i changed the stereo to a jvc head unit put some seat covers on the interior and looks the business now. was worth the money i spent only 5k for the car, but do need to be looked after as its a diesel, the turbo sounnds quiet good also with a whistle and a slight tttssss off the wastegate. all round good motor worth the money much recommended if your after a small pokey hatchback ...

Sporty, Fun with a whole lot of Va Va Voom!!

Advantages: good drive, loads of features, good space for a small car
Disadvantages: not a lot, see review..

...but they do come with renault alloys) pretty good factory speakers as standard, its a pretty good deal! The boot space is ridiculously big for a small car and can fit a lot of stuff in. With the seats down, I got a mountain bike in and the boot closed (just!). The cockpit is very light and the drivers position is perfect with a wide view through the windscreen. Bad points... the car has had a few problems which after a load of work has finally ...
...I took it to a Renault specialist who said it was probably the fuel sensor in the engine (it was also over fueling) he changed it at a cost of £160 and the problem has gone away and the fuel economy has doubled! I am just about to have it serviced for the 2nd time since buying it and it also needs a rear coil spring changing which is apparently quite common. There is a rattle in the cockpit but I know where it is and its just a piece of plastic ...

172 Cup - The one and only clio cup!

Advantages: Fantastic all round performance / Grip and more grip / the smile on your face
Disadvantages: Relatively high Insurance / harder to find an unmolested one / French build quality

Having been the proud owner of a renaultsport 172 cup in glorious mondial blue for over 5 years in my opinion it is the most rewarding drivers clio there has been for the money. The way the car market is at the moment you can pick up a 172 cup for around £3 - 4k which for what it offers is fantastic value for money. Having previously driven the standard 172, Honda Type R and peugeot 206 Gti (main rivals when i bought my cup) i can honestly say ...
...smitten. It epitomised everything a hot hatch should be from the firm ride to the agressive stance. The lack of sound proofing and slightly raucous exhaust meant the sound of the glorious engine let you know immeadiately what it was doing. The steering was well weighted and you could almost feel every twist and bump of the road surface. Getting up to speed was never a chore. The front wheels used to scrabble for grip in first but once into second ...
