Renault Clio GT 1.5 dCi 106

Clio 1.5 DCi Dynamique 86 We ordered our Clio in November and picked it up just after the New Year, opting for the 86 over the more powerful 110 for the former's quietness and economy. It's silver and we also opted for cruise control and climate control. Also we had a towbar fitted for my small trailer. Here I am venturing into the motoring section once again with a little op on the Renault Clio. We recently had a need to hire a car, and we ended up with the new Renault Clio 1.5 DCi. We didn’t ask for a diesel in particular, we were just allocated one. However in the past, I have owned a Rover metro diesel and an Audi A3 1.9 turbodiesel, and in particular I miss the economy, as I normally drive a lot of miles each year. Yesterday we were travelling along a quiet country road - you know, the kind with tall hedges and fields - going about 40mph. Suddenly the car became difficult to control, sliding (turns out, there was deisel on the road). We were going all over the (empty) road. Over-correcting, we hit the granite base of a hedge. The car flipped onto the top of the hedge and crashed along it on the passenger side before rolling off and falling 8 foot off the other side onto its roof. Firstly this is a diesel car. This car was brought in 2003 for around £6000. The car from the outside still look new and the same is on the inside but the owner of this car has taken a lot of care and effort to keep it in tiptop condition. This is the car that changed the shape of the Clio and most of the structure has differed from the previous models of Clio. You have a wide choice of the type of engines that you can have and you can decide if you would like the 3door or 5-door model. I was after a new car for work that could handle motorway miles and speeds for longer journeys. It had to be small and smart with a few creature comforts such as air con, CD player and alloys. Nothing too out of the ordinary these days i know, but they can bump up the price. I was also looking for a diesel for the economy but didnt want smelly tractor like performance. I looked at the new fiesta, corsa, clio, polo and fabia. After having a bad experience with Fiat, the punto was a no-no.
