Other than under the bonnet plugs and belt replacements and access to some engine components , servicing is easy on brakes, oil change, petrol , cabin filters , and parts such as the exhaust are cheap to buy £80 and is easily replaced. The wheels have locking nuts. There is a good alarm and imobiliser and remote locking. The body is fiberglass and resists indenting. The chasis is galvenised but still corrodes and is a mass of corroded zink but there is no steel corrosion on the thick steel subframe which most cars dont have. . . Seating is ok, the seats are leather , space only for children in the very rear.as the leg room is limited. Any seating configuration is possible and can be like a hackney cab due to the rail system used to attach the seats to the subframe. . The turning circle is good for such a large car. The roof has three opening glass panels and can be removed, but they are hard to keep clean as you will need a ladder to get to them. The car can be used as a caravanette , when the seats are removed. and purchasing camping gear completes the conversion. The air conditioning is good in warm weather. Parts are easily available through the renault dealership. The parts are found through the registration plate. Luggage +six pasengers needs a roof box which can be easily attached to the roof rack which is standard with the car. If you look after the car it seems to be a good car with mutch in common with other mpvs. and cars. The automatic gear box is slow to react and doesnt give emediate power, but one gets used to it. When the power comes on it comes on with a rush 0-60 in about 10 seconds , overtacking is done with ease -effortless power, one feels the king of the road. May be too fast for some. The cruse control is good on motorways a must for long journeys.
Advantages: Big 3.0 engine, digital display on dash board Disadvantages: Not enough room for luggage etc
The Renault Espace was the first MPV in europe and I have had the pleasure to be driven around in one. When we went to hire a car for a holiday we were given a brand new, clean, beautiful looking Renault Espace. The interior was lovely and there were 7 seats! The car was nice to sit in because it was a high vehicle, the seats were so comfortable and big, they almost wrapped around you! The Renault Espace is very powerful and should not be underestimated, ... ...and seemed very good ideas. Renault have come a long long way with the Espace and deserve to have the title of the best MPV in Europe. This car does not feel like a big family car, it really is powerful and sporty and would recommend to anyone to buy it if you have a large family or not. You can buy it with a rear spoiler on the roof which makes it look great! The new Espace has even been given 5 stars in the Euro NCAP test! Even if you don't want ...

Advantages: Space and Practicallity Disadvantages: Fuel economy, reliability and price of Renault parts
...the current 3.0 V6 (the Renault Espace 2.8 v6 RXE auto) and whilst the design of the vehicle is very good I found my car to be generally unreliable. It was expensive to maintain due to the high price of Renault parts and I believe a franchised dealer who I suspect was good at "creating" expensive repairs. Over a 3 year period the following repairs were required (note the vehicle was serviced regularly at a main Renault dealer at 6000 mile intervals)
... ...7 3 Car Batteries (electrical fault that was never remedied)
To add insult to injury the car usually averaged 17 mpg and was difficult to sell on when I got rid of it for a song (I wonder why?)
I will not buy a Renault again ...

It's a really good car for family. I were driving this car for only 3 months but i must to say that it's really good. This van is a classic. I were having ABS, electric mirrors, very good radio with cd, klimatronic, 4 airbags, immobiliser, full electric and i paied only 20 000 zl (about 5 000$). I can recommend that car to people that are having big family or for people that needs some good car for trips and "adventures". Comfort inside is really ...
