Renault Laguna 1.9 dCi

Had my Laguna for six and a half years and bought it when only 18 months old and 17k on the clock.
Its been a very comfortable economical car and im glad i chose it instead of a mondeo at the time. There has been problems with it but i have to laugh at people making a huge issue of the tyre sensors. Simply change valves for normal ones and system switches off, easy. I have the low powered 105hp version with 5 speed box and at 86k miles i,ve not had any issues with clutch, gearbox or intercooler so it seems that its more resiliant than 6 speed 120hp versions,
I changed the EGR valve myself after warning light came on going up hill and have replaced the front 2 window regulators at 50 quid a pop new from ebay. Great thing is that spares are cheaper now as car gets older and i can fully understand peoples concerns when car was quite new and they had to go through dealers.
Downsides are rear suspension bushes which cost a lot in labour to replace and stupid key cards giving up but overall a fantastic second hand buy as lagunas are cheap to buy now . After reading up on mazda 6,s which i wanted at the time but couldnt afford one im so glad i went for the laguna because the mazda,s problems are far worse .
