Advantages Value for Money
Disadvantages Deprecitation
Having just started a family, I needed to change my existing 3 door car to a more family friendly car. I looked into various options and ended up getting the Laguna at Cargiant for £6k. I bought the car with 25k miles on the clock and it was an 2005 Model.
The car itself is nice to dive and the main reason I choose it was because of it's safety record and 5 Star Rating. Being a typical family car it's not that amazing to look at but all the features are there that you would expect from a relatively new car including air con, elec windows, power steering, ABS, CD Player (no MP3 connectivity though) & ISOFIX seats for car seats. The car I bought is the petrol version but I noticed it's MPG isn't that great but the Diesel version is soo much better onm fuel consumption. I guess this is why Diesel versions are more expensive.
I've had the car for about a year and am happy with it's performance, sure they're are nicer cars out there but for vlaue for money, you can't go wrong with the Laguna. My main concern is the depreication that these cars have. Brand new it would cost around £15-18k but a couple of years later it's less than half. This isn't an issue just with the Laguna range but it's an occurence with most French cars.Overall, the Laguna does it's job and I've had no faults with it.
