A Mercedes in Sheeps Clothing

AdvantagesCharismatic looks, quiet & smooth, modern interior

DisadvantagesTyre pressure sensor faults, tyres expensive to replace

"...I showed up at the Renault dealership. Anyone reading this is likely to already have noticed and maybe even admired the styling ot the Laguna II. Compared to so many mundane clonelike competitors it looks modern and elegant. It has something European cars seem to be running short of these days - charisma. A REAL FIND FOR 9,000 POUNDS My budget was 9,000 which seemed quite limiting. I wanted a 2-3 year old car with less than 20,000 miles ..." Read review

excellent estate

Advantageshuge load space, very comfortable & safe, relaxing drive, not too thirsty

DisadvantagesTyres and keycard expensive

"I've had mine for about six weeks now (bought as my 1998 Vauxhall Astra was uneconomic to repair when the ECU went on the blink) It's a 2001 Privilege estate with 74K on the clock. Fuel consumption is about the same as the other review, and much to my surprise everything works (including the air-con). VERY comfortable to drive, a cruiser not a sporty car, but that suits my needs. Interior (Part leather/part velour in a silvery green colour) has worn ..." Read review

The renault Laguna 3.0

AdvantagesReasonably cheap car

DisadvantagesThe fuel consumption

"The laguna was a great car. From the outside you can see the nice body line, a car well thought out. When I first got into the Laguna I realised how close to the road you are, it is not far off the ground which gives it a sporting feel. The interior was a really nice velvet green and the dashboard looked quitre nice two. One of the best features about the car was its seats they were very comfortable. The car felt like it was light on its feet and ..." Read review

Advantagesquiet engine, goo economy, nice design. good boot space

Disadvantageshandling not the best, interior is acceptable, the hand brake is annoying

"5 years back when my dad brought his second car he brought a '99 Laguna 3.0 RHD for the last 2 years and it has been very a fun time. At first i hated the car because of the un-sporty look, dry interior and quiet engine. i was too much into the bigger euro cars such as BMW, Audi, VW etc. but when i got used to driving the car and its looks and features, it was a alright car. it car does alot in such style. the worst thing about this viecle is the ..."
