Hawaiian tropic complete care after sun after bath I tend to buy a lot of the Hawaiian tropic products when we go abroad because i like the smell and they remind me of holidays spent in the sunshine. I had never tried this one before but decided it was worth a go because I have never had any problems with the products before. WHAT DOES IT DO? Since this doesn't just market itself as an after sun, but rather as complete body care, i am expecting something great from it, although even before I use it, I do expect it to be merely an after sun/moisturiser...not cynical, merely a realist. This is an after sun/after bath product so I believe that makes it the kind of product which can be used all year round as a body moisturiser, unless it is for after the bath when you have previously spent the day on the sun. bargain after sun

Advantages: cheap, effective
Disadvantages: plain packaging may put some people off

We were shopping in Asda, when my boyfriend said he wanted some After Sun as he had got sunburnt on his arms. We headed for the sun care section, and he chose Asda Smart Price after sun lotion as it was the cheapest one there. To be honest, I wasn't convinced this would be any good and offered to buy a more expensive named brand, but he insisted that this one would be fine, so that's what we bought. A few weeks later and I had to use this myself as I'm very pale and managed to get slightly burnt on my shoulders even though I'd only been in the sun 10 minutes! ~**~Packaging~**~ Smart Price is Asda's economy range, and like all other products in this range, the packaging is plain white and simply has 'after sun lotion' written on the front in blue - no fancy writing or pictures. A Non Peeling After Sun

Advantages: no peeling, works quick, absorbs and softens skin
Disadvantages: slightly sticky

So, last weekend was probably one of the hottest of the year so far according to me. I didn't actually realise how hot it was at the time of course so avoiding putting on suntan lotion. However, I later regretted this when I got home, after hours of sunbathing. I noticed my arm was bright red as were my cheeks and nose. I didn't have any after sun at home unfortunately at the time so I was made to live out my daily life in humiliation with a bright red nose. The first thing I did when I had the time to do so was run into Tesco and get some kind of after sun. The Ambre Solaire one was on offer so I bought it and ran home. The bottle is quite nice a light blue colour and this is relevant as it is a soother. It has a secure top that you snap open and the typical Garnier logo.
