It's Resident Evil all grown up

Advantages: Stellar graphics, interesting new take on the game, better voice acting
Disadvantages: Loses a little of the original's charm

Remakes. Remakes are the classic double edged sword of the computer game world. On the one hand, most people like the idea of seeing their favourite games from yesteryear remade with cutting edge graphics and sound, and maybe even the odd tweak to make the gameplay more exciting. But on the other hand, changing the look and feel of a classic game robs it of the retro charm that most people find so appealing. It's like taking a girl you had an adolescent crush on and giving her a new face, new hair and new clothes while keeping only the most basic aspects of her personality - yeah, she might look better, but it's not really her anymore. Thus it was with somewhat mixed feelings that I inserted the Resident Evil disc into my Gamecube and fired it up. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if I'd like it or hate it. Resident Evil had a makeover and became something truly beautiful

Advantages: Amazing plot and great new plotline, Still superb graphics, Atmospheric music.
Disadvantages: No multiplayer, May not have great longevity for some.

dozens of times. Some of the enemies on the game are certainly disturbing, the new enemy central to the this remake is rather horrifying yet sympathy inducing and the huge spiders certainly make me want to hide behind the sofa. Not high on the scare-o-meter but certain parts will make you jump, usually parts with the ever-so-quick hunters. 3/5 Graphics The Gamecube was, at the time of release, lagging behind in the console wars, often believed to be graphically inferior to other consoles, this game and the prequel Resident Evil 0 changed that, together they proved the Gamecube was more than able to hold its own graphically against other consoles. The backgrounds are pre rendered but have an incredible amount of detail. The interior of the mansion looks incredible and very intimidating. The enemies and characters all look detailed ...

Review of Resident Evil (GameCube)

Resident Evil Nemesis, the trilogy is complete

Advantages: Graphics, sound and the gore is cool!!
Disadvantages: None, virtually perfect.

Resident Evil III Nemesis, this is the last in the original trilogy of Resident Evil series. There's were other RE games made after this, but to fans of Resident, the trilogy is by far the most important. This was a good game, the graphics are excellent, it's loaded with more gore and action that the sequel and there is a correlation of sorts between the first two games. In Resident Evil I , Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and others find out about zombies created by a virus done by Umbrella. In Resident Evill II, we learn tht Chris has disappeared and that his sister Claire is looking for him. She meets Leon Kennedy another cop who helps find the notorious mansions and they learn all about Umbrella plans to unleash another virus. Well they partially stop Umbrella's plan but as evil never dies, you knew Umbrella would be back ...
