RETRO GAMES!!!!!

Advantages: Fantastic collection of retro games and the old consoles to go with them
Disadvantages: Non that I've seen so far

I have 2 consoles/pcs that are considered retro, C64 and the megadrive and since moving in with my partner found that I was no on my own in enjoying the original games! On finding this site a few weeks ago made me very happy. I'd had the C64 a LONG time and not all the games had lasted that long so when some of them were my favorites I wasnt too happy. Retro Gaming For The Masses....YAY

Advantages: Buy old games and consoles from the "golden age" of home gaming & download them too! A Forum.
Disadvantages: The brown colour of the website. On some pages the Home Page link is not clearly visible. Some consoles not available.

Mainly for those who at one time owned the old 8-Bit and 16-Bit computers & consoles in the 70's and 80's, to reminisce about the "good old days" of computing when home computing and gaming first began. However, for others who were not around in the 70's or had been born during the mid to late 80's, this could be like a kind of history lesson ...
...how the games industry was formed by these early games and consoles, how the X-Box's and PlayStations of today owe a lot to these early machines. Some Universities offer Computer Game or Multimedia Degrees or HNDs (Higher National Diplomas), so those students might find this useful background on their subject field.
