This toy was originally released as an Attack of The Clones "RepublicGunship" in 2002. Back then is was mostly grey with very little detail. Now redesigned by Hasbro as the "Clone WarsGunship" this is a massive improvement and one that has been welcomed by fans.
The Clone WarGunship has been given a very effective customized look and is packed with special features for added play value. The cockpit can fit 2 Clone Pilots, the side panels slide open and the inner landing platform detaches to deploy Clone Troopers into battle. There are also a number of firing weapons, missiles and bombs.

Effectively set between Episode II and Episode III, it tells a number of stories in half hour episodes set in the Clone Wars conflict. Being a cartoon it clearly aims to rope in the younger audience to an extent, and then aims to keep them entertained through that classic mix of lightsabers and, well, other science fiction things. But it?s all about the lightsabers really. Following on from the television series is StarWars: Republic Heroes, is the latest in a very long line of StarWars games. And whilst there have been some excellent StarWars games over the years, there have also been a lot of pretty terrible ones as well. So where does this latest offering fit on the grand scale?

Gameplay
Wow. What a game. They really hit the mark with this game.
The gameplay in this game is simply stunning. The amount of thought that must’ve gone into creating this gritty and darkly humorous StarWars game must be incredible.
In a nutshell, you play as the leader of a Clone Commando Pod (squad) called Boss (voiced by Temuera Morrison himself) and are unleashed onto the bad-soon-to-be-good guys. Each member of your squad has different skills and different personalities (caused by the different training they went through) but in the end, each member can perform any task as well as each other.
The inclusion of iron sights is spot on. Iron sights are becoming the norm in FPS games and it is indeed a welcome admission to Republic Commando.
