103 FM - Key, Manchester

I have been listening to Key103 for as long as I can remember even right back from when it was Piccadilly radio!! The radio station is on the FM frequency and is based in Manchester but can be heard across Greater Manchester including places such as Bolton. ...almost always listening to Key 103. It's a Manchester-based radio station aimed at people around 13 plus, I'd say. Key 103 has a mix of different songs. They play the latest hits, older songs and other songs that aren't as mainstream, unlike a lot of other radio stations. You get a wide variety so there's something for everyone. Key 103 is truly the best local station in the North West. Its DJ's are in touch with everyday life and bring a splash of colour to the city. The breakfast show has recently changed presenters but it is still just as good as it was before, and it really cheers me up on the way to work. Key 103 is, has been and always will be the best radio station in the UK. The DJs are ordinary, down to earth people who like to have a laugh and play the best music around. The newsteam are always up-to-date and even the weather guys and gals are brilliant. ...a radio station offer? Key 103 has great disc jockeys like JK and Joel and Mike Toolan, who really wake you up in the morning. All of the presenters play really good tunes, both recent and occasionally older music. Just like other radio stations you are probably thinking- but how many other radio stations do you know that charter a plane to Ibiza in the summer and let their listeners win a seat on it. Each weekday on Key 103, from 10pm until 2am, James Stannitch (not sure how to spell it!), is THE main man!! This is a phone in show where members of the North West ring in and shout at James for his outrgaeous opinions on just about EVERYTHING!! I started listening to James when I had a bout of insomnia a while back and so would press 'sleep' on my radio alarm, although it didn't help because I WANTED to stay awake and listen!! I now stay up ...
...James is hilarious! He has an extreme opinion on everything, especially religion and teenage mothers! He manages to offend just about everyone he speaks to, although most of the callers just seem to take his comments the wrong way as he does seems a nice guy at heart really! Apart from great shows and DJs, Key 103 also has great competitions such as fiver fever, which gives listeners the chance to win up to £10,000 by matching up the numbers given on air with the numbers on their five pound note.
