Who said Marrage is a good thing!!

Advantages: Exciting and Easy to Read
Disadvantages: A little predictable

This is the second James Patterson that I have read and reviewed. The first book was actually the third in this series and I didn't really enjoy the third one. Everyone advised me not to give up with James Patterson and so I thought I would try another one. Firstly let me say that I did enjoy most of this book. There were certain aspects that I didn't enjoy but I will discuss these in my review. So here we go. The story is about the solving of a ...

Honeymooners Beware

Advantages: Chilling crime thriller at its best
Disadvantages: You'll keep looking over your shoulder afterwards

This is a tale of a serial killer that try's to come up with the worse possible murders he can think of. He decides that newlyweds are going to be his target and arranges to commit the murders on their wedding night. He carries out his macabre plot with chilling ease and the police seem unable to stop him. Homicide inspector Lindsay Boxer is determined to crack the case. She goes against regulations by enlisting the help of her friends. Cindy, a ...
...their combined expertise they begin to piece together a profile of the killer and search for links between the victims and crime scenes. Not an easy task as the crime scenes are wide ranging involving other police forces who want the glory of solving the crimes for themselves. The plot has many twists to the tale and keeps you guessing right to the end. I don't want to give too much away because it's definitely a book you should read without knowing ...

First To Die?

Advantages: A new main character to get into, electrifying story line
Disadvantages: There aren't any!!!!!!!!

This is the electrifying first novel of a new series of books by the best selling author James Patterson. Lindsay Boxer is the only female homicide inspetor in San Francisco and she has to be tough (even more difficult in her line of business). But what can prepare her for what she is about to uncover in the Honeymoon murders? A killing spree begins by a brutal maniac, he slaughters newly wed couples, and Lindsay is the inspecting police person. ...
...hard work is threatened to bring this murderer to justice when a personal tradegy occurs. She turns to Clare a coroner, Cindy a journalist and Jill a lawyer, for help with everything that is going on, hence the Women's Murder Club is born. For those of you who want a snippet, here goes "The killer had imagined this moment, this exsquisite scene, so many times. "Congratulations" the killer muttered, handing over the champagne. He stared at the man ...

Till Death Do Us Part

Advantages: Very well-written plot
Disadvantages: Could not put the novel down till finished

James Patterson, best known for his novels featuring Alex Cross, has managed another master piece. This time choosing a female homicide inspector, Lindsay Boxer, as his focus. Lindsay arrives at a homicide scene, a hotel, where a young couple who has just gotten married is found dead, slaughtered. This is only the beginning as more and more newly wed couples seem to fall victims to this unknown serial killer. Not only faced with a murderous stranger, ...
...she is diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. Despite the disease Lindsay keeps on top of her job leading the search for the serial killer before he strikes again. It is a joy to read novel that is so well-written as James Patterson's and the feeling of not being able to put the novel down till the very last page is turned is something I wish for in any novel. ...

just for saying i do

Advantages: keeps you thinking
Disadvantages: couldn't put it down

this was a well written book. I have read alot of crime thriller books and this one is definately one of my favourites. It is all about murders of newly married couples who are killed just after they have said I do or on their homeymoon. James Patterson has a very good lead character who is also going through a very rare medical condition which keeps you reading for that part alone to see if she recovers from the disease. I got so wrapped up in ...
...myself crying at the end, why couldnt he have made it a nice happy ending. Not only that the twist was completely unexpected. Good read especially if you like playing detective i kept changing my mind as to who the killer could be and still got it wrong. A definate big thumbs up for this one. Look forward to reading more by the same author. ...

addictive

Advantages: enjoyable hard to put down
Disadvantages: too short

One of those stories that get you involved with the leading characters and empathise. You follow the rollercoaster of the story and want to be there(other than being one of the victims). The only downside was that I had guessed who the serial killer as soon as they were mentioned in the book (wont say who!!!). But on the whole a thoroughly enjoyable read and has left me waiting to read the next one in the series of the 'Womens murder club' If you ...
