ARROGANT AND MISLEADING (24-7electrical.co.uk)

Advantages: Decent selection, good prices, efficient site
Disadvantages: Misleading delivery claims, errors on the website regarding delivery options, late delivery

**Background** This review was written as a result of expereince when we moved from a semi-furnished flat to an unfurnished house. We had basic furnishings (mattresses to sleep on, table to stick the monitor and keyboard on, a chair or two etc.) but we were in rather desperate need of large appliances. I bought a dyson from 247electrical and I have to say I am more then overjoyed with the service and the product. My old hoover completely packed it in about a month ago and I have 3 black cats and a light carpet, really not a good mix. THE WORST ONLINE RESELLER IN THE UK!

Advantages: Zero, Zilch ...Narda!
Disadvantages: Online reseller who advertises products they don't even sell and who truly doesn't understand what customer service is!

Is it worth it to save a couple of pounds?

Advantages: They offer goods at low prices
Disadvantages: They sent me secondhand goods

I had never actually heard of 24-7 electrical until I was doing an internet search for a Humax digibox and got to the Price Runner web site as part of that quest. Looking at the details on Pricerunner is discovered that they were the cheapest supplier of the gadget I wanted and, as they had a little tick next to their name which said 'Customer certified', I somewhat naively assumed they would be a good place to buy. 24-7 Electrical

Advantages: Clear website good prices
Disadvantages: Useless at delivery

The reviews of 24-7 Electrical fall into two categories: the fortunate who have had no problems and those (like me) who discover that its delivery promises are not to be believed. If you do some research on google about 24-7 Electrical, you can be lulled into a false sense of security. Believe PriceRunner or similar, and there are no problems. Do yourself a favour -avoid them like the plague!

Advantages: Great goods at great prices
Disadvantages: They haven't actually got these things in stock.

Great products at great prices, but they will take your money instantly and promise you 48 hour delivery, and you will then be left wondering if you will ever get the goods. They don't answer the phones, and don't respond to e-mails. The order tracking never changes from "processing". Good service from 247 Electrical.

Advantages: Ease of ordering, order tracking and price.
Disadvantages: Sometimes ambiguous delivery estimates.

I have used 247 Electrical recently for couple of items. A TV stand that I ordered arrived when it should have with no problems at all. I also ordered an LCD TV which had a bit of a delay on the scheduled delivery date. However, 247 did keep me informed about the delay and answered any e mailed queries promptly. Another date was set for delivery, this time the 2nd of October, which would have been a month since I placed the order. I e mailed Dominic, ...

Very poor customer service

Advantages: Product range & prices
Disadvantages: Poor communication, product not stocked

I do a lot of online ordering for my Handyman business. This is the worst company I have dealt with to date and it is all based around poor communication. I don't think it is good practice either to take a customers money before despatching the order. In summary, delivery of my order has been delayed twice yet I received no communication from 24-7 Electrical to tell me so. At least not until I have prompted them for an update (twice) by emailing ...

Dont touch company with a very long barge pole

Advantages: Cheap Prices
Disadvantages: Very Poor or Non-existant Customer Services

I have returned a product which they acknowledge....I now find that I have to threaten them with legal action as they are now ignoring me....if I phone up they claim that I will receive a refund in 4 or 5 days but I have waited 4 or 5 days twice and nothing happens... On the surface it seems that this company is a good one as they are cheap and quick to deliver but if it was that what made a company good they would be up there with the best of them ...
...out then maybe they would merit a better mark....but I think a company should be judged not on its service when things are going ok but how it deals with returns and difficult situations and this company would get a minus 20 score on this one department alone if I could give it a minus 100 I would...... 24/7 Unethical

Advantages: Very competitive prices, quick delivery, helpful when ordering
Disadvantages: Shoddy Customer service, no concept of Sale of Goods Act, After Sales Service, what After Sales?

I bought a Gas Cooker from 24/7. Initially I was very pleased with myself for finding the item at the lowest possible price, gave myself a large pat on the back! Appliance arrived a few day later, again this was really impressive. To my amazement they had delivered the wrong product. I telephoned to arrange a collection of the appliance, however they insist that I re-package it and get it downstairs. Love to fellas, however I'm pratically disabled ...

Had an e-mail from their Director (Bit surprised as I thought they would have Customer Service Managers to deal with this) But he said there was nothing they could do, unless I re-packaged the product and got it downstairs myself. Staff need a good shake-up!

Advantages: Good website, often unbeatable prices.
Disadvantages: Poor communication, disappointing customer-service team.

I have just purchased a Cannon cooker from 24-7 Electrical, considerably cheaper than anywhere else on the internet. Their website is very easy to navigate in a generally pleasant, user-friendly environment. My order confirmation email was swift but very bland and lacking in necessary information. The website delivery guide was inaccurate (since rectified) and the tracking system is currently only of any use for a very limited number of orders. ...

AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Advantages: Good Price
Disadvantages: Absolutely no idea about customer service

If your purchase operates without failure then you are probably safe in dealing with this company - I ordered a camera which was despatched in good time and worked ok for several months. When it failed and I had to contact them - different story: 1st they tried to have me contact the camera manufacturer saying repairs were not the responsibility of 24-7. When I pointed out that this was a direct infringment of consumer law they agreed to have the ...

My old 'hoover' died last week (black smoke - very nasty) so the time had come to finally invest in a Dyson. Knowing that these cost the earth (relatively speaking) I shopped around solely on the basis of price.
