I had get one of the wireless adapters for my laptop. I could either go for the pcmia slot, or the usb slot. I opted for the usb version because i could then use it other desktop computers as well. .... The signal strenght is 60(the software shows all the details of the link quality) but sometimes it flactuates with no obvious reasons. Sometimes the connection drops; when the signal strenght goes down to 40. After a long use, the adaptor gets hot, and cannot say whether it is common or not.
