Advantages Advantages Was happy with coverage, never had nay problems using my phone.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor customer services, will not take no for an answer, very hard to get what you want.

I am writing this review basically because I need to get something off my chest as I have just phoned the most annoying customer services in history. Other people might think different, but at the moment I am extremely wound up. I have been at work this morning and was very tired, so I really didn?t need the hassle that I got when I phoned 3. Last year my contract with 3 mobile was coming to an end after 18 months. I phoned customer services and my reason was to give them the 30 days notice required to cancel my contract. My decision to cancel my contract wasn?t due to bad reception or ... more

I spent around 20 months getting my internet coverage from the mobile contractor Three. The reason I originally signed up with this contractor was because, at the time, they were one of the only providers offering competitive deals on the mobile dongle, but now a lot of others are offering more competitive deals. How much did you pay? Within my 18 month contract (which continued to roll on once it had expired), I paid £18 per month for 7GB of internet access and I received a free mobile dongle when I signed up to the contract. My bill would have been £3 cheaper if I'd opted for the direct ... more

Advantages Advantages Pretty cheap for what you're getting.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Need to have a 3G phone before you can use the SIM, tech support can be difficult

Following my move to Nottingham, and a new fiancee and a new house I decided a new mobile contract would be in order since I'd had my previous one taken off me when I decided to bail out of the Northwest. The problem was I already had a phone (Sony Ericsson W595) that I actually liked so I decided to look for a SIM only deal. The one that caught my eye was a 3 £15 deal. For the deal I got 300 any network minutes, 3000 texts and 2000 3 to 3 minutes as well as free Skype. Now I decided that I also needed the internet max package to allow me to go on Facebook and YouTube for when I had long train ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap tarriff

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad, bad, bad customer service, phonecalls that cut off even though there's a full signal.

If, like me, you have been tempted to join 3 because of their great value-for-money packages, think long and hard about the commitment you are about to make. I would say my association with 3 has been extremely stressful. I genuinely detest calling the customer services because I know the phone call will probably last for over half an hour, with patronizing repetitions, lies (yes, bare-faced lies) and, I'm sorry to say, immense difficulty in understanding what the person is saying on the other end of the line. If I have to call them, I have to take a few deep breaths and tell myself to keep ... more

Advantages Advantages Use literally anywhere with a mobile phone signal. 98% coverage. Full On Regular Internet Access

Disadvantages Disadvantages Running out of credit, unused bandwidth does not rollover

I went and bought the ZTE MF622 USB Broadband modem after reading about it on the 3 website. What made me go out and buy it was the fact that existing 3pay customers got it for £70 instead of £99. Since buying it the price has dropped to 50%. So i presume that would be about £50 now. Obviously this is the best choice if you dont want a landline in order to enjoy the full benefit of broadband. It's just as good as wifi, as you can move about freely. No need to be near any phone line as the signal works the same as your mobile. As long as your within coverage of the mobile signal masts. Which ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to setup and use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Simply the S L O W E S T system you will EVER use - AVOID!!

I have been with 3 for my phone for over 3 years now and have few complants, other than the long delay before voicemail notifications come through. BUT Their 'mobile broadband' service is simple AWFUL! For £15/month you get a box containing a 'dongle' which you plug into a USB port on your PC. With a few minutes, the PC has recognised the new device and you are connected to 3 as your ISP and off you go - very simple, very easy, very quick. Unfortunately, that the ONLY thing about the service that IS quick! Though advertising as 'up to 3.6 Mbps' the ACTUAL service speed is NEVER above 1.3 Mbps ... more

Advantages Advantages The Nokia 6500 has camera, which is capable of taking photos.

Disadvantages Disadvantages 3 mobile give poor service, & like to tie you to long contracts

UNHAPPY WITH YOUR PHONE SERVICE ? BE GLAD YOU’R NOT WITH 3 MOBILE ! Please tell me your horror stories, .....here’s mine ! I have been paying between £15 & £40 a month, for over a year, for a phone with no signal, or service. I am e-mailing their customer service, almost daily, without satisfaction. When they do contact me, it is 4 days after their e-mail, saying the will phone me the same day ! If they can’t get me, they leave a message on my T.MOBILE phone ( it’s pay as u go....but it works ! ) saying.... ‘ Please call us back, free of charge ‘ but if you try to call them, from your T.MOBILE ... more

Advantages Advantages Friendly staff, good prices

Disadvantages Disadvantages Coverage could be better, poor firmware with branded phones

Overall Three is a very good service provider and I have had an excellent experience with them over the past 18 months. When my contract came to an end recently I chose to stay with Three, rather than switch to an alternative provider, and I was offered a wide range of phone and contract upgrades despite not being a 'brand new customer'. Signal coverage is not as widespread as Vodafone, for example, but perfectly adequate for normal daily use. Occasionally I have needed to contact Three with billing or technical questions, and while the queue on their freephone number is sometimes a few ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, mobile, can be fast

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be slow!, software needed to connect

I have been using the mf622 for about three months now, and it generally performs well. I took up threes offer of a modem with 3GB a month allowance, for half price as I already had a phone with them. It costs me £7.50 a month, and I pay £3 insurance. The insurance can be cancelled without affecting the deal apparently. I was also interested as I had moved into a new house, and BT wanted £130 to connect me up! I use the modem in a fixed location on a windowsill near my PC. I know it sounds daft, but it seems to get a better signal there. I have full reception, i.e. 5 bars. On a good day I get ... more
