    INTRODUCTION 42 All Time Classics was one of the first games I bought for my Nintendo DS Lite when I had it three years ago. The wide variety of games really impressed me including chess, backgammon and a few others too, and also that the game has a multiplayer mode which means I could challenge my mother and/or friends on their consoles using the one game card and without losing playing pieces and playing cards - I doubt we have a full games set in this house!     42 All-Time Classics is a game you should have if you own a DS. There's something in there for everyone and although the box says ages 12+, I have to disagree. I'm pretty sure there are some smart kids out there much younger that 12 who would give you a run for your money in multi-player mode. The games can be played single and multi-player against another DS opponent or the computer. Multi-player can be over the internet or wirelessly with another DS. You can also give another DS user a "gift" where you would send one of the games to his/her DS and they can play until they turn the DS off ... more

    42 All Time Classics was the must have DS game for Christmas 2007, it was selling for silly prices on Ebay and I searched high and low to get a copy for my daughters stocking. Ten months on and it's one of the favourite games in our collection. The game, as the name suggests, consists of 42 mini games all bundled onto one games cartridge. The games are split into eight categories, basic card games, intermediate card games, advanced card games, basic board games, intermediate board games, variety games, action games and single player games.     It soon seems that the DS will have just as much games aimed at 'non gamers' than it will with their regular ones.     I got a Nintendo DS for Christmas and I have not been able to put it down it is so addictive, I have managed to buy a lot of games at very reasonable prices and this is one of those games, it is so addictive I can only put it down when the battery has run out on my DS. 42 All Time Classics is a game that appeals to everyone as it has a wide variety of games that are suitable for everyone.     This was a game I picked up mainly because it was quite cheap and looked like it could be really good and I am glad I did. This game has a selection of lots (well, 42) of great games including some which you have heard of and some you won`t have! The type of game varies from card games, board games, action games and many more. This is really good as it means there is always something you will want to play and this game has it. If you are doing single player mode you can either do stamp mode where you complete the various games in a certain order to get stamps which unlock new features. I did ... more

    So, this is a complete must have game for the ds... No collection is complete without it, it incorporates games such as; solitaire, rummy, texas hold 'em all, darts, billiards, chess, checkers. There really is 42 games, 38 of them which are playable online. Gameplay 10/10 This is amazing. This game is so fun it will keep you playing for months on end, it has all your classics you will ever play ever. This game is relativly easy when you first get it but as you unlock normal or hard on stamp mode. Or change it on the settings.     Advantages: Disadvantages: Having seen the advertisements and read a couple of reviews for this I took the plunge and purchased it. I must say I was disappointed. Ok there are a lot of games to play including a lot of classic board games, card games etc etc. However I felt that a lot of the games had become classics because they were fun to play with other people and have a laugh rather than the quality of the games themselves, which meant that when I was playing on my own against the computer, they were really rather boring.     Do you remember the days when families could sit around and play board games? The days when fancy televisions and gaming machines weren't needed and you could have fun with a 10p pack of cards? Unfortunately, you still need the fancy gaming machine, but now those days can come back to life... This game does exactly what it says on the tin. On the game cart, you will find 42 'classic' games.     42 games. One SD card. Could it get and better? All classics from Texas hold 'em down to Solitaire and all available on Wi-Fi. All our favorite past times and games all on one card with the unique controls of the DS used to give it the unique classic gaming experience. You may think that 42 games on one card is amazing but it gets better there are also two other features stamp and mission.
