Advantages: Lots of features. Disadvantages: Controls and Display not same as other AEG equipment. Instruction errors. Failed after 3 months.
Recently got one of these. Impressed with the features. the 1000w Microwave is probably too strong to cook most things. The inside of the oven can get dirty etc when using it as a oven / grill. also the controls and display are not compltly in line with other AEG equipment, so if you have this and an AEG oven built in next to one another the differences show up. I also noticed the instruction booklet has errors. The diagram for the controls is incorrect ... ...My MCC3880EM failed after 3 months when the Microwave kept running when it was turned off. In a matter of minutes the glass plate was literally red hot and there was an area in the plate that was molten, the glass dripping down. There was also damage to the case and the inside of the door, causing smoke to emit from the oven. I ended up turning the oven off at the consumer unit. Anyone else had problems like this with a microwave? ...
