...complete system based around the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe. As far as motherboards go, I only really like to use 2 of the well-known brands which are Abit and Asus. According to our Abit contact we have at work, would not have an SLI motherboard out for "quite a few months" I had only the Asus range to choose from. Now I was torn between a new PCI-E based platform or an older based AGP system - and I thought seeing as SLI was great back in the days of ... ...stability.
*First Impressions*
Asus have gone out on a limb here and given the whole packaging the "Premium" feel. Gone are the gawdy packaging that you used to get in the past, and in have come the sleek sexy black and silver styled packaging for a more "chic" and "futuristic" look. Asus has consistently produced top-quality products offering both superior quality and features. The A8N-SLi Deluxe is no exception to this and offers a host of overclocking and other features and excellent build quality.
Installation of components onto the board is a relatively simple matter and thanks to Asus' Stack Cool 2 and the heat pipe system the board is incredibly efficient at dissipating heat.
However, the one problem I did have with ... ...a little tempormental with the bundled drivers and would not install at all on Vista. Fortunately, this is easily fixed by downloading the latest drivers from Asus' website.
In all this is a superb quality, feature packed, product from a manufacturer with a reputation for quality and service. If you are looking for a high-end motherboard for gaming or demanding multimedia applications then I would deffinately reccomend this. ...

Advantages: ASUS's copyrighted technology features- AI NOS Disadvantages: sound, outdated RAm
...have a big enough PSU). ASUS includes their patented technologies such as Ai Nos which injects a boost of power when you PC needs it most. This board supports AMD FX and dual core CPU's. Take note: more recent dual core by AMD are AM2 so they will not work on this board. It is 939 Pin.
You get 3 PCI slots and 2 PCI-E slots (for you graphics card most likely).
It can hold 4GB of DDR 400 ram in its four RAM slots.
Unfortunately, this board has been ... ...has developed and it appears, using ASUS' website, that this board will not take DDR2 RAM.
This board supposrt up to four SATA hard drives in RAID configuration. It will happily support one without RAID though in case you are wandering.
If that does not bother you then this board is worth your buy. Notice it has been in PC Gamers magazine as top motherboard for 11 months in a row now... Now thats a feat. When you buy it you will discover a cable ...
