...very lucky to get our Asus Eee PC 1000H today. The version I have here is a 10-inch Windows XP version, with 1GB RAM and an 80GB hard drive. ...my desktop as my little Asus does everything I need except for the desktop publishing which I do for work. Speed is remarkably good, even with mutliple windows open (well, two or three anyway). The 10" screen might be small but where I hold it on my lap means it doesn't feel small in use -- and when I use other people's 15" or 17" laptops they seem massive and unwieldy. The Eee PC 1000H is a small compact laptop for those who want an easy to use computer. The keyboard is of course more compact too but this is something that you quickly get used to. One of my friend have said that he has this model and he is very very pleased with it. he placed a 2GB RAM module, uninstalled half of the Asus factory freeware and replaced it with Office 2007 and google Desktop. It is so small and so quick that he even use it in the bus when I have to finish things up.
