Advantages quicker, and really portable

This review is of the new asus EEE pc. Its been quite fun using and reviewing this one as its not like your usual laptops, and in many ways its a lot worse however at the end of testing it iv got to say I really like the asus EEE pc and however rubbish it might be I think I will end up buying one if some of the features just improve a little or if the higher spec editions become cheaper. I'm reviewing the new better version of the EEE pc this time as I reviewed the cheapest one last time and although it was quite good I though the amount of memory it had slowed it down and that there also ... more

Advantages Cheap and cost effective ultra-mobile computing
Disadvantages Not the best choice for online gaming, mass downloading or media storage

During my recent search for a laptop i found this rather smart looking item and decided to check it out. The first thing that struck me was the tiny size. I began to wonder what they could have put inside with it being so small. I was pleasantly suprised to find the new Atom processor running at 1.6ghz. Advantages small , light, great wifi
Disadvantages poor memory, short battery life, no cd drive

The eee series is very beautiful if your looking for a easy to use small portable laptop this is the one, the only downside is the linux based system but I now have Xp up and running it cost me an extra 50.00 but is well worth it, this was originally made for kids to encourage homework studies but has not been adopted by the older generation. This laptop is strictly for internet and studying purposes do not buy if you want to play games or dvds this has no dvd drive or cd drive and has not got the memory to cope with memory eating software. Advantages it is light and easy to carry. Most of all it is cheaper compared to other notebook
Disadvantages Not a core 2 duo and has a small storage

On my my experience using ASUS Eee PC 901 it produces big amount of heat but performance is still good. But compared to my other notebook which is MSI, Asus 901 produces hotter temperature.ASUS Eee PC 901 The cooling fan is quiet. For the the battery, it is really performing very good under normal use (up to 4 hours and more). The touchpad and with dual buttons are easy and comfortable to use and responsive. Advantages Easy to use and handy

In my opinion the asus Eeepc 901 i excellent because it is easy to handy and the weight is only 2.42 lbs and you can bring it in home,office,school and other. I used it in my office and have a presentation and connect it with the projector and you can add peripherals like usb mouse,printer,and other device with usb connector. Advantages Fun laptop powers up and off quickly
Disadvantages Poor battery life

A great laptop for using on the go, powers on and off very quickly, lots of cool features you don't get on a normal laptop like periodic table and games such as frozen bubble, penguin racer and go karting all built in. However the battery life is very poor, advertised as up to nine hours on the asus website but in reality this can only be achieved when all functions of use - bluetooth, wireless internet connection, graphics etc are switched off.
