I have owned this laptop for over 2 years now and am very impressed with it, although the laptops CPU is not that powerful compared to other newer dual core CPU's it still stands up to today's applications with ease. Over the 2 years the only upgrades I have made is to increase the RAM from 1gb to 2gb as in the last 6 months or so 1gb was just not enough and the usage was over 90% most of the time, however if you are not looking to play the latest games then the 1gb of ram should be plenty.
