Are you able to use one or the other or do neither work? If you can't get either to work, (I presume you are using USB), try using a PS/2 (round green/purple connections) keyboard or mouse if you have one - you can get an adapter for a USB if not. If this works then go into your BIOS under the Advanced Mode, look for USB Configuration, and make sure that Legacy USB Support is set to [Enabled].
