    ATS Euromaster are your typical Tyres, Brakes and Exhausts chains, running up and down the country. They are situated in most big towns and seem to be running alongside quick fit in popularity, however good or bad that is. I have only visited ATS once, and probably will never do again, unless I’m in desperate need of a Tyre quickly, but I won’t bother taking their advice on my car!     I guess everyone that owns a car knows the facts, and this opinion may not contain any startling revelations about Kwik Fit, but having recently had my tyres replaced by Kwik Fit and a local tyre company, I shall try to explain the pros and cons of each. I share with my mother a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting, as you may or may not know, there is only one primary manufacturer of this car’s tyre, (I’ll explain later).     ATS well advertised,yes, a large company, yes, good reputation, reliable and honest? Answer NO. Well that is my humble opinion. I recently owned a small citroen AX motor car and the exhaust started to corrode, blow me I thought, the exhaust was only fitted by ATS in High Wycombe less than four months ago! So, off I went with receipt back to ATS where, on the ramp I noticed that the exhaust had completely cracked in half under the manifold area. Unusual I thought, must have had a bad exhaust, maybe made on a Friday night. Anyway, I went for a walk around the shops while the fitter, who I should ... more

    Having had the exhaust on the car go and tying it up with string as you do, we had to go and get a new one. We telephoned around and you would not believe the difference in price. We were limited as to how far we could drive with it tied up so could not go to a large town and had to make do with Cirencester and a choice of three places. At Kwik fit we were quoted at "just over £100" and at ATS they said it will be £110 plus £15 if the manifold bolts and springs are hard to get off - now you can buy these in places like Halfords for £6.00.     I had my car in at ATS in Altrincham for a shock absorber, being the only place that could it, as the other usual chain garages refused to quote for it for some reason (BMW Z3 2.8) . Initial thoughts were that the place looked generally derelict, I turned up early and spoke to an uncheery person to be told that the garage opened up at 8.30am not 8.00am. Anyway they did the work and on payment I asked the man I if they had taken it for a test drive - I always ask this if the wheels have been off. He said yes. This is strange because I had reset the odometer before dropping off the car. Now ... more

    I haven't ever had to have anything major done by ATS, and from reading some of the other opinions perhaps I would think differently if I had. However, in my dealings with them I have been very impressed. They do free vehicle checks, and if they don't find anything wrong, you don't pay anything. I recently had my wheel alignment, suspension geometry and tyres checked, and they found nothing wrong, so I didn't have to pay anything at all, despite the fact they'd had it up on the ramp etc. for about 10 or 15 minutes.     Although a lot of places say the prices of their stock cannot be beaten and you cant find cheaper, you can at Ebley tyres. Their cheapest new tyres are cheaper than a lot of their competitors remoulds. With Ebley they do the job you ask them to without saying that you need this that and the other done as well. If they do notice something you get a very polite "you know blah blah will need doing soom". I find when I want that done I will go to them for the pure fact that they didnt insinuate that it had to be done there and then. Ebley dont just do tyres. They give the best quote on exhausts ... more

    i went to ATS ashbourne, and arived at about 8am one morning. the depot was shut and the sign on the wall said opening times (8.30), i needed a punture (nothing compaired to the above customer) at 8.05 the shutters were opened and a middle aged chap came out with a large display. as soon as he saw me he asked if he could help, i explained i had a puncture and he invited me stright in to the depot. i would say within 15 mins and before the 8.30am opening time i was on my way to work, this chap ... more

    I went to the Northampton branch of ATS and had quick, professional, helpful and friendly service. Thank you Jason and James. Before going there I'd had to ring 4 other ATS depots in the area to find the tyres I needed (a funny size and spec so not ATS's fault) and every time the person who answered was polite, helpful and friendly. I'd looked at this site beforehand and was expecting the worst so well done ATS. PS. A note for Ciao - whatever company you deal with the service you get will depend on the individuals you deal with.
