    Game of Thrones is set in a very rich fantasy world. The story is pacey, but also very in-depth. The good thing about the story is that it is told not from the perspective of the main hero(s), but usually from their companions, giving a much more interesting view on how events evolve. The story spans two continents and has a lot of political intrigue, back stabbing and heroism in it. On the one continent you have the free cities with their own intrigue and on the other continent, you have a unified kingdom of seven areas.
