I’ve been ordering from Ace Gifts and Cards for about 10 years now, and have never been disappointed with the goods or service I’ve received. The catalogue is usually around 400 pages long and sells – as you would imagine – gifts and cards. The first 100 or so pages are devoted to Christmas items. These include cards, wrapping paper and tags, crackers, fairy lights, calendars (including advent calendars), Christmas sweets, festive table cloths ...
...are reasonable, and examples are: Pack of 16 Christmas cards – from 2.00, 3m roll of wrapping paper from 2.00, 400g boxes of pick a mix sweets – 4.00 Boxes of crackers – from 4.00. After the Christmas section, there are about 50 pages devoted to children’s toys. Ace Cards & Gifts are the worst people I have ever dealt with. They claim that I owe them money when I do not. I received some items from them which were very cheap & nasty and obviously made in China. I sent them back and they claim to have not received one item which was priced at £10. They then added other charges onto this £10 which made it untenable to pay. They continue to send letters adding even more charges and it's up to well over £100 ...
...they constitute continual harassment. Ace Cards & Gifts sent me sub-standard imported junk and once they have you in their grasp, they keep trying to take more money from you, so a £10 purchase has the capacity to make them 10x the amount by them inventing payment default methods that leaves you fearing court. I ordered a dolls house in October 2008 and was told that it would be delivered in early December 2008. After many phone calls we were finally told that they did not know where it was and sent us a form to confirm that we had never received it. Received a statement which included the dolls house. Another phone call stated that they could not remove this from my account until they had traced it. To date I have never received confirmation that it has been removed from my account. I will never buy from them again. They don't seem to know what they are doing. ...

In October i placed an order for goods totalling £18.75. My statement came and i put it on the side to pay (but must have forgotten). Cam across the statement and immediately paid via cheque. This cheque crossed in the post with my next statement which included a charge of £20 admin fee. I agree. I ordered a 84 piece cutlery starter set and the actual cutlery was missing with a note stating "will arrive seperately". I then received my statement, so I called them to advise that I had not received it and they arranged for it to be collected and re-sent another. Again, the cutlery was missing. I called back and they collected it. I am still waiting for my credit to be raised and have also received an admin charge of £20 plus £3.77 service ...
...told me to put it in writing, by the time the post arrives to them I would have received whatever other charges they want to add on!! None of them speak clear English so 9 times out of 10 they hang up or get your actual order wrong - worse place to order your gifts from, trust us, you would wish that you found time to go to the shops!! ...

I orderd a dishwasher from ace it was deliverd in Nov I orderd a silver hotpoint dishwasher they sent me a white one I phoned up on the 30th Nov to tell them and to reorder and arrange the other one to be collected they said they would collect within 2 weeks they actually collected on the 18th Jan and the replacement model didnt even arrive now they are trying to charge me for 2 dishwashers total of £608.00 plus the 2.7%interest for nov to Jan I ...

Ace Card & Gifts is based in Preston Lancashire Its a mail order organisation dealing in mailly "trinkets" and non essential presents. My wife has dealt with this company on a few occasions. This company lost a cheque for £31 Despite copies of cheque and statement been sent [which had to be paid for] been sent they insited on adding monthly charges. It is virtually impossible to talk to anyone in any sort of authority within the company and ...
