Advantages: VGA/DVI input, large screen for movies, fast response time for movies and games Disadvantages: non-adjustable height and tilt, default brightness settings (of mine) was too bright.
The Acer 1916C. This has been with me for a while now, and I've connected it up to desktops and laptops. I've used this for surfing the net, playing games, watching videos and working on websites.
I bought this mainly because I wanted a large (19") flatscreen monitor with a decent resolution, which I could use for working and playing on. I deliberately didn't go for the widescreen version of this because I expected to also play games on it.
