    I've had this monitor for a little over 4 months now and I feel it's finally time to write the review that this product and this company deserves. I bought this monitor, the Acer AL1916W, specifically to do justice to my Xbox 360 and also to create more space on my computer desktop - I need a bit of space for a lot of Notepad windows and browsers windows as I'm a web designer.     This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. Unfortunately it contributes significantly to global warming.     This is a screen which really meets the needs of what im looking for when it comes to buying a screen, the only down side to this screen is that it aint HD and does not give of perfect picture quality when trying to watch things on the internet in HD quality. Apart from that the screen fits the bill perfectly, the screen is 19" and has a very resolution, showing everything on there in a above average standard to what you would be used to.     Overview: I bought this monitor as part of a plan to upgrade my current build over a period of a few months, in order to enhance my PC gaming experience and generally to just gain a bit more real estate on my screen. I used to have an old 1024x768 CRT monitor, and I haven't looked back since, the Acer being superior in every single way.     After being advised by my optician that I would be better off with a flat screen monitor (less eyestrain) I took the plunge and went hunting for one. I spent hours trawling review sites and eBay, looking, checking and drooling over the widescreens, all of which seemed way out of my price range.     Awesome monitor which delivers brilliant picture quality. It's custom made for watching movies and playing computer games as it encompasses a large area within its widescreen. Easy to use because it's plug and play compatible. Power consumption is acceptably low. Occasionally the lines in the screen are visible but that can be ignored since that's the norm with many TFT displays. Easy to the eye to watch images on this monitor.     I'm actually using ths monitor right now as I work, its my newest and favourite part of my pc set up. I was given mine when a family member upgraded their system and no longer needed it, rather than bin it. The Acer AL1916w comes in both black and silver (mine is silver), its a 19 inch flatscreen (TFT) widescreen monitor and it is very light and durable. It is very easy to install with standard vga socket and even easier to set up as it has a great button marked AUTO which does pretty much everything for you.     This is an excellent monitor, the brand Acer is great , the resolution of this monitor is good, the 19 " size of the monitor will offer you great entertainment when you watch a movie , or play a game, enjoy this product.

    as an owner of this monitor, i can say that it is the best monitor i have, it has a large resolution for games and sites, and it has a fast refresh rate. it also corrects the screen so you don't have to! when installing the monitor, there is no need for looking at the manual, since all you have to do (for my monitor) is just plug in the monitor to your PC/Mac change the screen display on the computer to 1440x900, press the auto button on the monitor and it corrects itself to the same resolution as the computer. you don't even need to be an expert in computers to fit this monitor in the only ... more
