When scanning 35mm photos I don't think any scanner can exceed the quality of the Acer. If you're scanning for web pictures then a 300dpi resolution is more than adaquate for a quality picture and the scan time is very short. If you want to scan at a higher resolution for prints this option is available, along with different scaling settings, and a multitude of other settings.
