Acer Aspire 5315
I got my acer 5315 as part of a deal from the carphone warehouse with a mobile phone contract, so i won't say it was free because I have an 18 month contract to pay for, but it was a really good deal!! Having shopped around a bit they cost around £270-£300 to buy. I'm no computer whizz and just wanted a reliable laptop to do my work and access the internet on, this is ideal. I had never heard of acer until my boyfriend got one ...

I got this for a christmas present, after my old Laptop got broke.
Acer are quite a good company, and sell quite a lot of good laptops
and this Aspire 5315 is idel for someone who just want's to use Microsoft Office
or browse the internet. But if your looking to chat away on msn, listen to music
and browse the Internet all at the same time. I would strongly recomend
going for a bigger and better laptop.
Don't get me wrong this Aspire 5315 does ...

Last Christmas my parents bought me this Laptop for my studies and for general use. This Laptop has been brilliant, i have knocked it off the table (by accident) and it was absolutly fine. It is slim, looks smart and easy to use. It has a very clear 15.4inch screen and an 80G ram. I have stored 4000 songs, and many many photos on here and it is still running as fast and clear as it did when I first got it. The price for this Laptop was bery good, ...

Advantages: Looks great, not too expensive, perfect for home/work. Disadvantages: Not good for games, loose items on laptop, rushed instructional booklet.
This is a laptop that's rating soley depends on what the laptop would be used for; for example, this laptop is not sufficient enough for the latest games, yet it works fine as a work accompanient and indeed, a home workstation: it even performs well as a video/music device.
Set up is very fast and the system is very reliable (excusing Vista's slow response times) and has never broken down on me for the year I have owned it.
The price is also good ...

Advantages: Price, look, reliability Disadvantages: Memory size, but adequate for basic users
I got my Acer Aspire 5315 as the freebie laptop when I signed up for mobile broadband at the Carphone Warehouse. I knew if there was no extra cost for it it would be a lower end of the market machine, which it is, however I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not a machine which has a huge capacity, 1GB and 80GB hard drive, but for users like me who just want to store a few current documents and photos and surf the net it's more than adeqaute. The 15.4" ...

Advantages: Reliable, affordable, easy to use, 15.4" screen. 80GB hard drive. Disadvantages: Poor mouse keypad. (aren't they all like that?)
I have one and it is much better than any PC I have used. Mainly because of it's practicality. I can go 600 miles away with my broadband dongel and use it without any problems. I find it light, extremely reliable. I did choose the basic Windows package as I have no need for all the pointless extras and the Celeron works well. Fully charged my battery lasts about 2 hours without power. It's 15.4" Screen is a perfect size. Make sure you clear your browsing ...
