Advantages: dream machine-perfect specs

INTRO I purchased the Acer Aspire 5520G laptop from Tesco Direct for the cost of £499, about 3 months ago. Advantages: Very good value for money and an excellent home laptop
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, poor battery life and acer website and services unhelpful

Very good laptop for home use, however not very portable at all. I have it set up more like a desktop computer, connected to a seperate monitor. This makes it very fast, very user friendly, and of course with it being a laptop, you still have that ability to take it to work with you. Advantages: Upgradeable. Unbeatable Value.
Disadvantages: Acer UK support is not very good. A little bit heavy and large.

I bought this Laptop July 2007 from Taipei, Taiwan home of Acer. This laptop was then eventually released in Europe 1 year later!! Anyway this is a great laptop if your technically inclined. Originally I bought this laptop with a Nvidia 8400M G graphics card which was practially useless for playing modern games.
