The Acer Aspire 5612WLMi offers the advantages of a Intel Core Duo processor, the T2300, combined with 1GB of RAM and an ample 100GB hard disk, and of course a DVD-RW and Wireless networking. Coming in at a budget price.
Packaging
The box for the 5612 is of a simple design and the laptop is very well packaged within. It is securely fixed with polystyrene to hold the laptop in position and the manual, driver cds and power supply contained well.

Disadvantages: casing is a bit thin. Just don't kick it around

Pros
Nice Display! Easy internet hook up.Quick response and fairly intuitive front-end
Cons
No recovery disk. Not a stitch of productivity software (spreadsheet, word proc, data base). Resist all efforts to install such software. Locked up, right out of the box while trying to reboot. Touch pad is sluggish.
