Advantages Advantages Great Performance and Very Reliable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor External Design

I’ve had this laptop for almost, if not 3 years and may I say, that it is by far not the prettiest laptop in the world nor the most feature packed, but it is by far the most reliable and resilient laptop I have ever had the pleasure of using. Unlike a good majority of people using laptops, I am very technology driven and use and abuse my laptop to its full potential by not just browsing the internet, writing word documents and sending email, I milk it for all its worth with video editing, picture editing, Motion Graphics and 3D graphics development and as you can imagine those are demanding ... more

Advantages Advantages Fantastic value for money, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a while to load up, poor battery run time

I had wanted a laptop for a long time but had never been able to justify the cost when I already had a desktop computer. With the prospect of planning my wedding and spending hours on the internet searching for suppliers etc, I wanted to be able to do that from the comfort of my settee, so I now found myself with a reason (clutching at straws here) to buy a laptop. I spent months looking for the right one to buy, I must have looked at every laptop available under £700. My initial budget went out the window (I stupidly thought I might be able to get a basic one for under £300) and my list of ... more

Advantages Advantages Affordable/value for money, great spec, excellent performance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Graphics capabilities not for extreme gamers

The Acer Aspire 5633WLMi combines: Dual core processing, reasonable memory capacity resulting in a great value for money and great performancevlaptop, it is mobile, compact and looks good. The 15.4" TFT screen is mid-range for laptop screen size, it has good resolution range. The hard drive capacity is 100 GB which is adequate for most, enough to store many programs as well as much music, movies and games. There is DVD rewriter is useful, though I personally find myself not using it that often, however it is a necessity. Acer's empowering technology enables easy access to frequently used ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life!!

This review is on the acer aspire 5633WLMi. This is an all round good laptop and even though this has great specifications, you can get it for around £450-£500. When I first came across this laptop I noticed how sleek it really looks, and the picture of it on ciao really doesn't do it any justice. When companies make laptops with only one colour of plastic it somehow really annoys me, however acer have designed this to be black and silver, this just makes the laptop look so much better and so much more modern that those one tone old laptops. The top part of the laptop around the screen is ... more

The aspire 5633 combines three important elements: the latest 64 bits dual-core power, stunning multimedia and effortless connectivity in a stylishly compact entertainment system designed to provide unbeatable all-round value. With a 15.4" TFT screen, large hard disk drive and the simplicity of acer's empowering technology, this is a truly unique source of mobile entertainment. Now with 1.66GHz core 2 duo processor and 1GB of RAM you will never be short of speed, you're laughing as the laptopwill not need any swap-space with that amount. Also the graphics card you can play some awesome games ... more

Advantages Advantages Fantastic, fast and affordable laptop. Great value for money!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages A few bugs with Vista.

I have needed a new laptop for absolutely ages! So I searched the internet for a brand new one within my budget and found the Acer Aspire 5633WLMI. I can safely say this is the best product that I have bought in a long long time. Now, it has a 1.66 GHz Core 2 Duo processor which is the best you can get. You're never short of speed and with 1GB of RAM you're laughing as the laptop will not need any swap-space with that amount. Also, with the graphics card you can play some awesome games and looking at the task manager the laptop is hardly working. I never knew intergrated graphic cards were so ... more

I bought one of thesse a couple of months ago, and so far I've found it to be one of the best value for money laptops I've owned. The specs on this laptop are great for running heavy applications such as Photoshop or Football Manager 08 (which I use often) Acer are very good at making top spec laptops at low prices, and I'll recommend them to everyone.

I bought this laptop just over 12 months ago. I'm no laptop expert but I love it , it ticks all the right boxes. My fathers IT company told me that it was an excellent choice, as good as the "designer "brands & great value for money. I can't praise it enough it's fantastic!! It does take a few minutes to get up and runing & if I was to fault it at all the battery life could be better as it seems to power down quite quickly from a full charge. Despite that for home use it's not a problem ... more
