Advantages: Latest technology and very cool aesthetics makes me want to eat this baby. Disadvantages: Not everything is perfect. The Aspire 5920 comes as close as I have seen
...but after playing with a Acer 5920 in a shop the other day, I have for the first time in my life fallen in love with a bit of hardware!
I am now saving like mad and intend to get one in the next few weeks.
And to those pundits in the mags slagging of its styling, clean your
specs and see some daylight, this thing is beauty incarnate. I can honestly say after trying this machine I now sneer at everything else. Wow, what an impact.
I want ...

Advantages: New Technologys, Graphics Card, Intel Santo Rossa, Harddrive Disadvantages: Looks and Weight
...a few games on the Acer and I was pleasantly suprised.
Although the speed wasnt a fast as on really high end machines the graphics speed was acceptable and would run most games without problems.
MEDIA
The Acer is a media PC and it has a great screen, although it is a little to glossy. The screen is 15.4Inches standard for a laptop of this caliber. The sound quality is very high due to the fact Acer included Dolby Surround in this laptop. Something ...

Advantages: Fast, Durable, Unique Disadvantages: Overly sensitive and emits a high pitched noise
...it can be on other acer models.
You can read about the advantages of this laptop all over the net and i would agree - it is a fast capable laptop. However there are some negatives, namely:
1. if you close the lid or leave it in hibernation for too long with the lid closed, it makes an incredibly annoying high pitched continuous beep until you raise the lid. Sometimes i have had to restart it to stop the noise.
2. the microphone in the lid is ...

Advantages: Cool with style, technology, user friendly with easy understanding Disadvantages: Sensitive touch buttons, overweight,
I purchased my Acer Aspire 5920G from Comet. So much for cutting prices. The laptop itself is cool, it's fairly fast, easy to use and really portable. The 15.4" inch screen is the perfect size. The laptop comes with the useful Acer Empowering software. Highly recommended laptop, the only problems I have had is with the sometimes buggy Vista. The keyboard isn't the best but I haven't had any problems with it. the touch sensitive media buttons on the ...

Advantages: Portable, easy to use, low priced, fast Disadvantages: Slightly reflective screen, sometimes sensitive touchpad buttons, flashing WAN button, not the best keyboard
I purchased my Acer Aspire 5920 laptop from PC World. No problems with the laptop but the service at PC World is appauling so I would not recommend buying the laptop from PC World. They also put the price up for the laptop three days after I purchased the laptop. So much for cutting prices.

Just picked this up from tesco for £479. It was retailing for £800 before Christmas.
The laptop is great, lots of features, Acer have really pushed the boat out on this.
A lot of people have been critical of the styling however I find it quite refreshing.
The spec says it all.

Advantages: Amazing design, very good performance Disadvantages: Pricey
The Acer Aspire 5920 was my first ever notebook/laptop/whatever lol, a present from my other half for my birthday, and what a present it was!
The Aspire 5920 has a beautiful shape and looks almost futuristic, instead of boring black it comes in a creamy and cosy look. It was designed by the people at BMW and it shows, they've done an amazing job!
The notebook itself is very light and a lot less bulky than I expected from such a machine.
But ...

Advantages: Great features, great performance Disadvantages: USB slot positioned to close to the CD drive, sensitive hot keys
Personally owning an Acer 5920 is something special. First of all the customer support and acer technology did not leave me disapointed. Definitely a laptop you would not be embarassed to pull out at work or on the train. It looks modern. The opening mechanisms resembles that of a car and is very easy to use. Feature wise the acer does not disappoint with a camera , webcam , movie maker and much more. This makes it the perfect choice for your everyday ...
