Acer Aspire 6920G - mid-range laptop of the year?
Review of Acer Aspire 6920G by
Kai_M
Advantages: Great Design, Powerful components, Blu-Ray, good value for money
Disadvantages: heavier than comparable notebooks, makes 15.4" screens look ugly
...3 weeks of owning the acer aspire 6920G i can safely say it is the best laptop i have ever used (or even see other people use), the elegant design, uniquely awesome 16" screen and the great price/performance ratio makes for one great laptop.
One of the first things you will notice when you first turn on the laptop is the 'Cinedash' media bar on the left of glossy keyboard. Essentially it is just a funkier version of the standard media hotkeys prevailent ...

The perfect Candidate.
Review of Acer Aspire 6920G by
Gladiator007
Advantages: High specifications, fingerprint reader,16" widescreen supporting 16:9 format.
Disadvantages: Very bulky, kinda weird keyboard layout, too much buttons.
...The most amazing thing about Acer laptops that I like is their spacious and well laid out keyboards. The keyboard of this laptop is simply amazing it has a lot of additional keys, which are really easy to use; they are nice and soft to press and operate. There are some additional keys on both the right and left hand side of keyboard. These extra keys mainly help users to get quick access to media files and operate them. Also it helps the user to get ...

Brains AND beauty - the 6920 has it all
Review of Acer Aspire 6920G by
technosplat
Advantages: Speed, reliability, stunning good looks
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, will make everything else seem a bit uglier
...out of the house. The Acer 6920 changes all that.
We needed a laptop for our photographic business, so it had to be fast, powerful and reliable. The Intel Core2 Duo produces a staggering amount of clock speed, around 5 GhZ if you add it up in real terms. Coupled with 4Gb RAM (good quality stuff too), an impressive DEDICATED graphics card and beautiful glass-fronted display, the 6920 meets all the geeky criteria and some!
However, the specs (as ...

Review of Acer Aspire 6920G by
maddyuk
Advantages: 16" widescreen, multimedia keyboard, blu-ray drive
Disadvantages: Acer arcade startup, quality of base, battery life
...an year since I own Acer 6920G. It is one of the best laptops in this price range. No compromise on the features for this price.
The 16" widscreen together with the Blu-ray drive is best for watching vidoes. HDMI Very good connectivity with HDMI, DVI and 4 USB ports. Have never tried this piece for gaming but should do well with inbuilt graphics card. Performs very well for application development with memory intensive applications.

Disadvantages: Large, Clunky, Partitioned Drive
...I have been using the Acer Aspire 6920G for a while now and i think its quite a good laptop. I have had no problems with it since i got it other then the media control panal crashing. However this was easly fixed by simply taking the power out for a little while and putting power back in. Once done it worked again fine and hasnt crashed yet.

Acer 6920g blueline power LAPTOP
Review of Acer Aspire 6920G by
kevinpbetts
Advantages: Hi spec laptop good for gamers and complex good blueray dvds
Disadvantages: poor battery life and heavy
The ACER 6920 is full of power from a 2GHz intel centrino 2 processor to 3GB of memory and a 512 dedicated ATI radeon graphics card. appears to be a good laptop version of the PC. It looks good with the blue case and blue power lights and feels sleek to touch.
Along side this you can use the built in blueray player and connect it to you Hi Def tv via a HDDMI cable with ease. But the battery only last for one hour which in my opinion makes its mobility ...
