Acer has aced on this one!

Advantages: Everything you could want, particularly amazing multimedia handling.
Disadvantages: Gamers beware

The Acer Aspire L5100 is an economical, yet complete package for the everyday home computer user. Behind it's small, ultra-compact chassis lies a powerhouse in entertainment; the latest spec for modern home theatre, AMD LIVE!, boasts exceptional and smooth management of your multimedia, the main atrraction for me of this Acer product. Advantages: Size
Disadvantages: Reliability, Lost data due to reliability issues

Shortly after the warranty ...

Quick review of Acer Aspire L5100

The L5100 is a great machine in the tiniest of packages. The model I have has 3GB RAM, 500GB HD, TV card, Windows Media Center (Vista), card reader and USB and Firewire interfaces. Better than Dell Studio Hybrid which uses a small and slower laptop harddrive. Why can't all Desktop PCs be this size and have this performance. Got mine as a base unit from Comet. But Comet and eBuyer have stopped selling it. Wonder why? Check out the Acer Veritron L460. ...
