Acer plays the Ace card again!
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by LawrenceP

Advantages: Small, lightweight, great performer. Can handle some 3D games.
Disadvantages: None for the Netbook, but Linux version is rubbish.

...for a while. I purchased the Acer A150 because I was going on a cruise and wanted something small and light. I decided on the Linux version of this netbook for £235, the Windows XP version is around £269. The Operating System First thing I need to say about it is Linux, what a joke with its limited functions and the hassle you need to go through to add new features. I wanted DivX support so I could watch movies at night but after a ... Read review

Great value if you can stand the niggles.
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by Phantom_Wombat

Advantages: Great value for money; nice keyboard for the size.
Disadvantages: Short battery life, no built-in 3G, unconventional mousepad layout.

This is Acer's entry into the netbook arena and mostly it's a pretty good machine. You get the same Atom CPU as is in most of the other leading contenders, a 1024x600 9-inch screen, 1GB RAM, 160GB Hard drive, 3USB ports and a webcam. This is all for a price a bit less than the competition, although there are a few issues of ergonomics with the machine that you'd want to look at first. Netbooks generally aren't going to have the same power as laptop ... Read review

Good, Cheap Notebook
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by Surj1

Advantages: Cheap, good battery life, Wi-Fi, Lightweight
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth

The Acer Aspire One model is a notebook I recently bought from PC world, it was on offer for £199. I needed a cheap notebook to carry out simple tasks such as using MS office and run some simple accounts software. I also wanted Wi-Fi to access the internet via my home PC router, so this notebook seemed ideal for what I was looking for. The notebook itself comes with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition O/S. It has WiFi, Fast Ethernet, and an ultra ... Read review

Great little piece of kit for good money.
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by Jojomojoe

Advantages: Cheap Powerfull machine
Disadvantages: No Optical drive

I have had my Acer Aspire One for about 3 months and it has never failed me. I will review everything that should be considered before buying. Speed: Well this depends on the model you are going to buy, I own the Linux version with 1GB of ram, which is probably the fastest AAO you are going to get, it really does fly. Because Linux uses very little prossesing it means that all of the application will run with little effort. The ram is upgradeable ... Read review

Acer Aspire One = Number 1!
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by hairyheppers

Advantages: Small, light, comparativley powerful
Disadvantages: No external DVD drive provided. Protective sleeve

I purchased this laptop for my wife to do do her training work on, also she didn't want to carry my luggable! We went for the 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD Linux model in Blue for about £250. Out of the box its a good looking machine, the glossy blue finish is nice, but instantly prone to fingerprint marks. It feels well built and durable. I comes with what some would call a protective sleeve, in a way it does protect but really all it protects is from ... Read review

Advantages: Small for travelling, Fast, Stylish, Great Battery, Webcam Built in.
Disadvantages: No Cd Drive:(

...specifications: I went for the Acer that was on offer so the specs are not the best available in the range but are perfect for me. 1GB of RAM 1.6GHZ Atom Processor 8GB hardrive plus an extra 8GB on a memory stick The extra memory is easily installed into the side of the net book, there is a slot specifically designed for adding extra memory. It will only accept SD card so no others can be used as extra memory however there is another slot ... Read review

Convenient, Portable, Sleek Acer Aspire one Netbook
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by elsie22

Advantages: looks fantastic, light to carry, works well
Disadvantages: battery does not last as long as you would want

When I first looked for a Netbook I was unsure about buying this one as it did not have windows on it but i needn't have worried, I have had no problems with it. If you are just looking for something to use to go on to the internet then this is the one for you, it is quick to connect, portable, light to carry, email works fine, games are good,I personally like the look of the one I have, it's a white/cream colour and looks fab. What can Acer laptops offer you!
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by Cutedimples

Advantages: The screen is just the right size and is a fast, well-presented laptop.
Disadvantages: It can easily get damaged, and it holds small memory.

Acer are one of the most established brands., which always strive to produce the best of the best laptops This Acer laptop holds just 1GB. This is bot suitable for people who want to save alot of pictures, or music; let alone vidoes. The laptop doesnt have enough memory for that, however, if you want a laptop suitable for general useage such as surfing the net, communicating with friends i.e. msn and so on, saving work (this can be from word ... Advantages: Ease Of Use, Size, Out Of Box compatible, Good looking
Disadvantages: Awkward Touchpad, Poor Battery

...bought this version of the acer aspire one before christmas 2008. Since I bought mine my mother brother and next door neighbour have all been so impressed that they to have purchased the exact same machine. My machine came pre installed with Linpus lite (lunix) which is a little strange if your used to windows in any form. From getting the machine out of the box i was online within 5 mins. The best value netbook? yes!
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by Kai_M

Advantages: Price, performance, choice of colours
Disadvantages: sound

...me, i'm shiny!' but the acer aspire one has got to be the most reliable, sturdy and best value netbooks around. Starting of, as i usually do, with a summary of the style of the product, the acer aspire one won't win any beauty paegents, but it is functional in it's design. Sure, i'm not a fan of the whole gap-between-screen-and-hinge look, but it works. The netbook has no real standout design features, but it isn't the ugliest netbook around (step ... Read review

Acer Aspire One A150-Great for Word Processing and Internet
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by leala4628

Advantages: Size, ability to access various internet browsers and word processing
Disadvantages: Small memory compared to conventional laptops

This laptop was bought in order to aid my study as I needed to be able to access the internet and write word documents as part of my A level course. I use it with mobile broadband and it is compatible and provides a good internet service, if a little slower than its larger counterparts. The laptop is attractive and portable-I have received many comments on its appearance. It is light compared to larger laptops so is perfect for carrying on public ... Read review

Acer scores again with their ultra fast Aspire One
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by zuhairm

Advantages: Fast, portable, comfortable, pretty variety of colours
Disadvantages: No DVD drive, low battery life, gets hot, Linux crashes if modified too much

...these factors? Yes, perfectly. The Acer Aspire One is, in my opinion, one of the best netbooks on the market. I grabbed of these for my birthday, when it was relatively new off Amazon. I got the version that had 120 GBs of hard drive memory, with Linpus Linux Lite. This edition of Linux was built specifically for the Aspire One, and it was extremely simple and easy to use. With an eye catching interface, a quick search bar and brilliantly obvious ... Read review

Advantages: very portable and sleek
Disadvantages: Might not be very durable. You will miss a dvd player :(

ACER ASPIRE ONE 1.6ghz, 120gb, 1gb ram, XP HOME
Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150 by seanobie2008

Advantages: CHEAP, DURABLE, DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAID ON THE TIN
Disadvantages: GLOSSY SCREEN, BATTERY LIFE, POOR SPEAKERS

I bought this laptop because I needed a cheap, reliable way to get online. At first It had Linpus Linux OS which to be honest is a waste of time however it was easy to use but it lacked in compatibility to other software and hardware, that is when I realised I should have payed a bit extra to get the XP version. I bought a cheap copy of windows xp from ebay and installed it using an external cd-rom drive, which was a lot easier than I was expecting ... Read review
