4 Stars A Great Mini Laptop! Review with images 18/03/2011

Advantages Advantages Cheap, light, fast processing speed, colour, easy to use and set up, wifi, portable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only 1GB of RAM, 3 hour battery (but the nine cell - 10 hour one is great!) and on cd drive

Aspire One D250 - Blue I am at university now and I wanted a laptop to take there - and we do have a iMac and laptops but they are too big to take there, and knowing me I would break them too! So I decided to buy a little netbook (some people call them notebooks), but they are all the same thing - mini laptops! They are really quite cute and come in different colours. I have been using this for about 5/6 months now and I am really happy with it. *General Product specifications* 10.1'' screen Acer CrystalBriteTM LED-backlit 1'' Thin Two built in high definition speakers Windows XP OS 1.1kg with ... more

Advantages Advantages So easy to carry about and excellent value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No CD drive

A few weeks ago my trusted old laptop sadly decided to die on me. As i use a laptop for my work I needed one quickly so headed straight to Comet to buy one. Whilst browsing I was drawn to the netbook section, I bought this Acer Aspire One, I paid £270 for it, I have since seen it on some websites for around £199!! The first thing I noticed when buying the netbook, was that the box was actually packaged in was tiny, probably not much bigger than a loaf of bread. When you open up the box, I again couldnt believe how small it actually was, sitting it next to my old laptop this looked tiny, The ... more

Advantages Advantages It's cheap, easy to use and so lightweight!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not good for running multiple programs or gaming with complicated programs.

I have had my Acer Aspire One since Christmas, and what can I say other than how fantastic it really is? I feel the netbook is a stylish and ultra mobile netbook, ideal for surfing the web, writing and checking emails and using messenger, as well as basic computing functions like writing letters and doing simple spreadsheets. This is perfect for somebody who likes to use the internet a lot, on the go, portably. The netbook is quite small, with an 8.9 inch screen and built in webcam (great for using Skype and having video chats), with a snazzy small keyboard and fantastic interface. The Acer ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap, small, lightweight,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery, performances not up to 2009 standards

I bought this mini laptop 3 months ago for all my school needs. I am a university student and I needed a laptop to write my homeworks. This fitted my budget and needs nicely, so I bought it. It has a 10 inch screen, 1.6 ghz intel processor, 1 gig of ram, 160 gig hard drive and comes with windows XP. It also has wireless capacity, which works great. I use it mainly to surf the net and write texts with office so, for that, it works great. I also watch movies in bed, edit photos with photoshop and write scores with guitar pro. No problems for doing that, works good. Don't believe that you'll be ... more

Bought from Tesco for £230 in 2009, for the son to do his homework on. A compact, sleek, lightweight, economical machine, runs XP quickly and smoothly with little or no fuss. Keyboard isn't too small, Machine can run some older games no problems but would struggle with more recent titles Features: Integrated Webcam 3 x USB sockets 1 x SD card Slot (Can be used to Boot Secondary OS such as Linux)) 1 x Multicard Slot (including SD) 1 x VGA PC socket Fast Ethernet Works great surfing the net - displays streaming videos no problems and has a sufficiently big hard drive for storing data and Media ... more

    Advantages Advantages simple, handy, portable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages slow

Well to be honest when i buy gadgets, the brand of it will be my first priority. Talking about acer, it is not an uncommon brand in this case. i was looking for a mini notebook which is cheap, portable, but it has a trustable brand. Then i came to this beautiful mini notebook. Its design is cool, completely simple and its not like a '' cheap'' notebook. ( u can actually buy the same price as this notebook, bigger screen and etc but different brand). its only 1 kg, so handy if u r nomaden. The processor is Intel atom, which is a bit slow if u have to open so many windows. the windows xp is ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Thermal performance of the general, especially near the touch pad, the chip if the chip set with G

Acer Aspire ONE D250 with lacquer treatment, drop-shaped shaft designed to be creative, both ends of the crystal decorations are nice, the quality is also very light on the carry. On the cost-effective, or keyboard touch, appearance, workmanship I are very satisfied, although the camera is 30W, but the video quality is very clear. Watch 720P HD, CPU occupancy rate of 45% to the basic 55%, or very smooth. Picture quality is also very clear, the price level than other brands with lower, but work better, but the body surface, like super-easy to leave fingerprints and dust will affect the ... more
