good, but good enough?

Advantages: its got good features
Disadvantages: alot of design flaws
travel mates are a type of laptop designed and made under the name of the computing brand acer.
They are, for all of you who do not know, specifically designed for the working people, people who need something portable, or to use for their business.
Now the design of this laptop is by no means stylish, in fact it’s the complete opposite. Its all in one colour, which I really dislike about laptops, it looks bulky and it just looks too dull ...

Disadvantages: could have more memory
...is another one from the acer travelmate range .
Acer as a laptop company are beginig to grow, and they are now just as well know as a lot of others, but then I first saw then in shops, my first impression, and the impression of others I asked was they seemed a bit of a cheap brand, just like netto is compared to Sainsbury's. however acer have somehow seemed to change peoples minds and even managed to change my mind somehow.
If you want something ...

This mate doesn't travel well
Review of Acer TravelMate 5720G-302G16 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 15.4" TFT by

Advantages: Lots of features for the price
Disadvantages: Bulky, and a short battery life
...popular. The quality keeps rising. Acer has shown this with its latest TravelMate laptop. I needed it for general work, which seemed ideal.
> What's it got? <
The 5720G model has a dark grey exterior and easy to access control. At the heart is an Intel 2GHz T7300 Core 2 Duo processor (very fast for a laptop), though I feel this is simply to make Windows Vista work on it at an acceptable performance (it comes installed with Vista Home Premium). ...

Advantages: Great Graphics card, Good for both work and play, Nice design
Disadvantages: No DX10 support
This laptop is good for both work and play, I have looked into this laptop extensively because I was considering buying it and am still doing so. The laptop has a good processor (core 2 duo) and a great graphics card. The graphics card has hypermemory and can support up to 1GB of graphics memory. It comes packed with the latest hardware to give it top speed and performance for its price range. It is more than capable of playing most of the new games ...

My Mate just doesn't Travel well...
Review of Acer TravelMate 5720G-302G16 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 15.4" TFT by
readie25
Advantages: Well-rounded laptop with very good functionality, easy to use
Disadvantages: Not future-proof, but what is?!
When looking for a relatively cheap but well-designed laptop, acer's travelmate series were a particular interest. Suitably powerful for multimedia applications, and generally well-equipped, with an integrated webcam, microphone and a separate graphics card. This does call on the system memory, however, and typically running windows vista will result in the system using almost half its RAM just idling...
However, having purchased a similar travelmate, ...

Acer is a reliable company, they offer good customer support an good products.
This fantastic laptop is n exeption, it offers speed, memory and great connectability, as well as a very reasonable price for what you are getting...
Now, windows vista was given a very bad press when it first came out,it had terrible connectivity problems and basically wasn't up to scratch, since then they have worked flat out to get vista back on track. Vista now ...

I have been extremely disappointed with this laptop due to the consistent freezing I experience, I have also had major issues with the laptop over heating and shutting itself down. I purchased this laptop as a desktop replacement and use on average 10 - 15 hours per day, I feel as if maybe the laptop wasn't designed for this much work!!!
