Advantages: great memory Disadvantages: battery life
...at my current school. The Acer Travelmate was the type i was given. I have to say that after almost 3 years its still going strong after what can only be described as daily battering! Speed -------- As a primary teacher i need to keep a lot of photos on my laptop and this doesnt seen to slow it down too much. I also need a lot of high memory programmes and games on and this again doesnt seem to slow it too much. Battery --------- Until recently i ... ...happily sit on a train for a couple of hours and do my work. Over the last month or so the battery doesnt seem to last as long but prehaps after 3 years it is nearing the end of its life. Pretty fair really. Price ------ These seem to be relitively cheap to buy but as i was given mine i couldnt be 100% sure. I would say if you pay less than £400 then its a really good deal and definately worth the money. ...to your notice regarding the ACER service center in Pune (Computer Home).
I have given my Laptop which is just 1 month old due to White Screen issue. It took month days for them to replace screen after calling them number of times.
It was shocking for me that from Day 1 my Laptop was showing white screen or getting hanged.
Again I was surprised to know that there is problem with Screen of Laptop Travelmate 5730 lot which came in month of May 2009 ... ...much disappointed with the ACER service in Pune
