Bright eyed and bushy tails.. I am on speed...
Review of Addict - Stephen Smith by FrenchCancan

Advantages: It will make you appreciate your Life
Disadvantages: Not for the light hearted

Ah well, just because I could not get in Ciao from work does not mean I was sunning myself in the Bahamas.. or was I ?? We will never know will we ? So, Addict.. well, the subtitle states ‘An incredible true story with a fairytale end. Twenty-year drug and drink horror trip from riches to insanity in the gutter’ Sounds rather gloomy I hear you say… well, maybe.. but here it is.. The book was published in 1997 and is available in paperback ... Read review

Addict: A compelling read
Review of Addict - Stephen Smith by Kouros

Advantages: A true "can't put down" book
Disadvantages: Non-mainstream based, may not suit all

Sometimes it doesn't take a celebrity to write a compelling autobiography. "ADDICT" is the tragic tale of a young addict, as he passes through life to become an old addict. This isn't the work of a master - grammatical errors are throughout, but this, and the otherworldliness it creates only succeeds in creating an awesome piece of literature that is just as compelling, if not more so, than say, Howard Mark's autobiography. We, the readers, ... Read review

This book will help you understand LIFE
Review of Addict - Stephen Smith by liammartin

Advantages: Honesty, brutality,
Disadvantages: None - a briliant book

This book has to be one of the most terrifying, absorbing, disturbing and thought-provoking I ever have read. I strongly urge people to read it, whats more is that a % of sales goes to charity. It is the story of a man and his terrifying addiction to drugs. Have you ever walked past the homeless in the street and not really felt sorry for them? This book, I promise you, will make you look at life in a totally different light. S. Smith was a ... Read review

Advantages: You will not stop reading once you start
Disadvantages: You will not stop reading once you start

Oh....My....God.......! I cried, i laughed, i almost puked in the book itself. I can honestly say i have never read anything more engrossing and disturbing in my life! After reading this it actually gave me the push i needed to give up drugs myself. Now, i only did it recreationally, but after hearing this poor guy's horror story? Never again, because i could never have the strength and the faith that he had. He definately acheived his aim in making ... Read review
