In this new advert, presumably to cash in on Euro 2000 football fever, David Beckham stars wearing Adidas boots. The advert appears to be set in Amsterdam, where thousands of footballs have mysteriously been left in the main square. Passers-by start to kick them around and a good time is had by all. Suddenly David Beckham arrives and hits a characteristic long ball on a boat on the canal. A man on the boat tries to save it and ends up falling on the water. As with most of the major sports brands, the idea is not to sell a particular product but the whole brand. A good try. ...
