Advantages: Price, Full featured, reliable software, plently of online tutorials to look at and support Disadvantages: Categorisation and tagging, unlocking codecs, not intuitive.
...wants to go to the Adobe site and get an unlock code that you then have to type in to get the codec to work. Both Flash and MPEG did this which is more than a little annoying, if its installed with the software why unlock it? Anyway as its a one off thing for each codec its annoying but not bad enough to make you completely fed up with it.
If you have used other versions of Premiere everything looks much the same, some menus have been integrated ...
