Advantages Advantages Flies a very long way.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does nothing to tire out excitable pensioners.

"I love my dog as much as I love you." As I may have mentioned before, I have a small, mental, inexhaustible dog. He's a very loveable small dog, but in terms of energy he's like a canine Mr Motivator. Actually, imagine Mr Motivator started the day with 6 espressos, 2 cans of Red Bull, a bag of Haribo and a big glug of Lucozade and you're closer to imagining what Neelix T. Dog is like. His default setting is 'd'youwannagototheparkmum? Do ya? Do ya? Do ya? Do ya? D'youwanna? Do ya?' and, when he's still like that after a big walk and some tactical ball throwing (stand at the bottom of the ... more

Come on outside to play, . Let’s find an Aerobie ring. I have played with this ring with children aged over 12 in the senior department of a special needs school. These Aerobie rings are a 13 inch/ 32cm diameter hoop. This hoop is not tubular but flattened wide about 2 or 3 cm and 1/8th of an inch thick.. The edges of the ring are a soft rubber this makes them easy to grip and hold to catch and throw. If one hits your body it will not hurt much. In the centre of the soft flattened rubber I see a black ring not sure what this is made from but I imagine it’s a harder substance that gives the ... more

Aerobie 13 Pro Ring Last month sometime we were going out down the park but on the way decided to stop off in the toy shop and have a little look around what there was on offer. Seeing as we weer heading out I thought a Frisbee would be a great idea to help Jack with his throwing and catching abilities. This Aerobie 13 Pro Ring was on a bit of a special offer at £5 having a few pounds off and I decided this looked far better than a lot of the other Frisbee's that the shop had for around the same price. Jack was keen to get it so I snapped it up and I am so glad I did because we have played ... more

Advantages Advantages travels a great distance

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

When I was younger as a family we used to go Camping a lot and had great wide open spaces to play in, we were shopping one day whilst camping and my dad came across the Aerobie 13 Pro Ring, it was so long ago, but I think it cost around £14 at the time. They came in different colours, orange, pink and yellow, we opted for the orange one. The Aerobie 13 Pro Ring is a Frisbee equalivant it is a circular shape but has a hollow centre section like a ring. It is 33cm across and has a width of only 0.6cm and the reason it has such great flight is that it only weights 150 grams. It comes in the ... more

Advantages Advantages Flies a long way

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive for what it is

What is an Aerobie? An Aerobie is a modern twist on the old frisbee. Rather than being like an upside down dinner plate (as per the frisbee), the Aerobie is hollowed out in the middle and is more of a circular ring than a disc. There are a range of different types of Aerobie but this review refers to the 'pro' version (as seen in the photograph). How to play The Aerobie can be used in the same was as a frisbee, i.e. for playing catch between two or more individuals. You can throw the Aerobie to a friend and they will catch it and throw it back. How is it different to a frisbee? The Aerobie is ... more

Advantages Advantages Well made. Can get long distance throws easily. Great value for money.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to throw accurately without a bit of practice!

This is quite simply the best frisbee I have come across in terms of the distance you can cover, with a relatively gentle throw. It can take a while for beginners to become accustomed to throwing the Aerobie. Most people naturally tend to try and curl the frisbee in flight, but the aerobie is best thrown flat and straight, otherwise it will really take off and end up miles from where it was intended to be thrown! I would probably not recommend this for particularly young children (under 10 years), as it takes a reasonable amount of co-ordination and patience to develop the throwing technique ... more
