Launched: 2006 Group: Floral aldehyde Introduction I've long been wanting to sample this scent and during a 'smell trip' with my friend over the weekend I managed to get a vial of Maitress Eau de Parfum in Debenhams. I had no expectations whatsoever unless the excitement I feel when sampling a new scent; though I was suspecting Maitress to be a sensual, sexy fragrance in line with the Agent Provocateur image. There's no doubt about it - I own far too many perfumes. I think it's bordering on an addiction (Dior Addict + Addict Eau Fraiche - check). I don't understand how people live without perfume - I find that with one squirt I can transform my mood. Feeling low? Spray on a happy perfume like CKIN2U, O Oui by Lancome or Daisy by Marc Jacobs. Going out clubbing? A spritz of Addict or Baby Doll by YSL will do nicely. Missing the summer? Some rosewater will perk you right up. Out for a meal? I was totally right about Christmas and receiving even more perfumes than I already own so Ive got to try and get my last two scent reviews done before I move onto my new collection. ****Agent Provocateur Maitresse **** There's no doubt about it i love perfumes and it is the first section i check out in a shop. I cant remember exactly when i bought this but i came across this the other day when i was giving the house a spring clean. **Bottle** Just looking at the bottle gives me an idea as to why i bought this perfume as it is very appealing to look at. I had been after a perfume by Agent Provocateur for ages (can't afford the underwear so make do with the scent) and at last I got one - although it wasn't the one I wanted!! However I wasn't disappointed with this gift especially as it was the special edition one. Packaging The bottle is a lovely gold colour with a picture of the girl on the bottle and also an outline on the back so you can see how much of the perfume you have left. This perfume has a sexy musky scent. I find it quite strong at first but after a few minutes it smells really good on you - quite subtle but its definately there and stays on almost all day. The smell is really feminine and sweet but also quite heavy and spicy. It makes me think of what a vintage 50's muse would smell like. Personally I love it and so does my boyfriend! I wear it anywhere for any occasion and people have even asked what it is.
