The Pocket DV2 camcorder from Aiptek really is a little gem.

I have never owned, and very rarely used, a camcorder before this one, which I acquired about a month ago. But even I can see that this isn’t a standard sort of camera.
The obvious difference from a standard camcorder is size. This one fits snugly into the palm of my hand. Dimensions are a miniscule 8cm tall, 8cm deep (front to back) and only 4cm ... ...left-handers to use. The Aiptek logo is on the back of the LCD screen, and is quite discreet, much like the whole camera. Once the LCD is extended, you will find next to it the LCD on/off switch (very useful for conserving batteries) and a short set of instructions and key to the symbol on the menu. Advantages: very small and compact Disadvantages: seems a bit fragile
...writing an opinion about the aiptek pocket dv 11 but as this and the aiptek pocket dv are more or less the same and i could not add the specific product i thought i would do it here I have recently aquired one of the dv 11 from america and it arrived safely but i would warn anyone who gets it shipped over there is a £40.00 surcharge when it gets here for vat so whatever the price is in us dollars add $60.00 to it and this will be payable before they ... ...the software cost $149 plus $36 for shipping and $50 for the smart card which was quite cheap £153 but then you add the $60.00 as well and it cost £193 which is still a reasonable price with all that is on offer right the dv 11 this is a camcorder,digital camera,voice recorder and a webcam all in one The dv11 fits into the palm of your hand and is quite light weight. It runs on batteries 2 aa and you have to be careful as if the batteries run out ...

Advantages: Small + compact, cheap, over an hour of high quality digital video (with 512 mb CF card) Disadvantages: Doesnt focus automatically, small screen, annyoing volume that you cannot turn down!, seems fragile
...your computer.
Another feature Aiptek have forgotten to put on is the Flash. This is really annoying because if your not in broad daylight you cant take good pictures!
Overall, the camera has hardly any features. It is a good bog-standard digital camera which takes good quality pictures and videos if you can be bothered to focus it (which i cant!).
I would advise that you fork out the extra cash for a better camera.
