Advantages: Small, 11 mp camera, easy useage Disadvantages: Battery life, fuzzy in dark light
I bought this mini DV as an alternative to shooting videos on my phone, as I often found myself doing that. But I thought, why use a phone when I can buy a dedicated video camera for as little as this cost (£57 from Bonprix but usually costs around £80 which is still cheap). I wasn't expecting it to be that good at this price but I was actually surprised.
The camera looks good. I chose one in a red finish. It is also a case of just pressing the ... ...But it is best if you tweak a bit with the settings first. I chose to have mine in XVGA mode as it is faster than D1 but is still of a watchable quality. You can access these settings simply by pressing the Mode button. To take a picture you just press the button with a little camera on located at the top of the unit and providing you have the flash set to auto, you will see on the screen shows the strobe flash is charging. The first time you take ...

Advantages: Small, compact and very easy to use Disadvantages: Ridiculously low battery life
...good quality video footage. The Aiptek Pocket DV T300LE seemed to be the perfect model for me boasting many features that i had been looking for.
On opening the box I was impressed with the size of the camcorder. It is small enough to fit snugly into my hand and even into the smallest of pockets. The buttons seemed to be well placed to achieve optimum ease of use. It was supplied with 2 AA batteries and an SD card so it was ready to go immediately. ... ...I found to be that there is no fiddling around with various 'on/off' or 'mode' buttons. When you see something that you'd like to record you simply unfold the viewfinder and the camera bursts into life, press the 'video' button and you are recording, press it again and you stop recording. It is as simple as that. The camera does, of course, have more in-depth functions which do require slightly more fiddling such as setting the photo quality and ...

Advantages: size, smartzoom Disadvantages: no stabilisator, weak video light/flash
I got it as a present a week ago, in the last days I had many occasions to test it in different situations. It films at the resolution of 640x480 realy good quality not only when there's enough light but I also cought some splendid nightvideos in poor-light-situations. I also used it on a stativ and the quality of the video turned out to be great, many frames, rich color, alldaugh I never felt the efect of the Stabilisator. Even if it doesn't have ... ...same, the quality of the picture remains almost the same when zooming in. I took some 5 mp pictures, at daylight the quality realy impressed me, but at night it turned out not to work so well, but when you are filming in a closed space you always can turn on the video light. The design is outstanding, you can always carry the cam in your pocket, for it's size it can realy do a lot! It's definitely worth the money! ...

Quick review of Aiptek Pocket DV T300 LE
I too had a short experience from this camera which I purchased from QVC, the shopping channel. I had exactly the same experience as that of the first reviewer the battery life was appaling. 10 minutes maximum. Its no good having the camera the size of a cigarette packet if you have to take a stock of batteries in a suitcase. I also found that at top quality, (DVD), it only recorded at 20fps. Isent the camera back under the 30 day policy. A complete waste of time, ...
